She covered the bed and cabinets with sheets, put on her coat, and looked out the door, seeing Huo Jingrui walk into the courtyard.
She stepped out, carrying her bag. Huo Jingrui quickly walked over and took it from her. "Let's go. I'll take you for some mutton offal soup."
After locking the door, Yunyi stored the key in her space. "Sounds good. It's quite cold today; a bowl of soup would be perfect to warm up."
As they talked, they walked out of the alley.
As they neared the alley's exit, they heard Wei Hongyan calling out, "Yunyi, wait a minute!"
Yunyi turned to see Wei Hongyan running towards them, panting. "What are you doing here? Don't you have work today?"
Wei Hongyan shoved a cloth bag into Yunyi's arms and immediately turned to run back. "My mom boiled these eggs for you. Take them for the road. I'm going to be late for work, so I have to go!"
