Days later, Vel's temple trembles as the sky darkens. A thunderous roar shakes the ruins—then the Bio Dragon descends from the clouds, its body pulsing with green energy. With it's mighty power, the dragon shatters the temple.
The ground splits apart beneath them—Hans and Voytek are torn away from each other.
"Gramps!" Hans screams, reaching out as Voytek falls through the collapsing floor into the depths below. Dust and debris swallow him whole, vanishing into the dark.
The Bio Dragon releases a deafening roar and fires a massive green energy blast, engulfing the land. The explosion tears through the ruins, flinging Hans high into the air before crashing him deep into the ocean.
His body drifts for miles, motionless, until he finally awakens, coughing up seawater on a distant shore.
When he opens his eyes, he's surrounded by a group of moon natives pointing spears at him. Their leader, Soma, steps forward cautiously.
"A sky person…" Soma mutters, suspicious.
Hans raises his hands weakly. "I'm not your enemy."
At first, they don't believe him. But as time pass, Soma begins to trust him, especially after realizing Hans is about his age. The two form an unexpected friendship.
One night, Soma gathers glowing energy beneath the moonlight. "This is my moon power," he says. "Allow me to show the future of this planet." He shares his vision with Hans, a glimpse of the world engulfed in darkness.
When Hans makes contact with Soma's moonlight power, the energy reacts to him. It tugs at his spirit, pulling him toward a direction.
Soma studies him. "You feel it too, don't you? I've given you a piece of my power—because that is its will. The will to connect those closest to me. You must have someone… someone important. The power inside you is calling for that person."
Hans's eyes widen as he realizes. "Voytek… he's still alive."
Determined, Hans convinces Soma to spread his moonlight power among the nearby Stars. "If we share your gift with the others, they'll stand with you and protect his place."
Soma agrees, and together they gather more allies.
Days later, the dark moon crashes into Doom Planet, swallowing the world in endless night. But Soma's power expands—its moonlight spreads across the World Tree around them, forming a radiant barrier that shields them from the darkness.
When hordes of shadow creatures descend trying to break through the moonlight barrier but Hans and the moonlit Stars rise to meet them. Their blades gleam with silver light as they battle through the black tide.
When the battle ends, Hans feels a flicker of panic—the link between him and Voytek is fading. Without another second, he dashes into the abyss beyond the moonlight's reach. The darkness gnaws at his skin; the moonlight powers barely keeps the darkness at bay.
He flies for hours, until at last, he finds a sunken underground base. There, he sees a massive, flickering magic cube—its light nearly gone.
As dark worms crawl along his arms, Hans staggers forward and touches the cube. In an instant, he's pulled inside into a shimmering space filled with exhausted Stars. Among them stands Voytek, alive but battle-worn.
The few Stars mistake Hans for a dark monster and rush to attack, but Voytek order them to stay away.
Hans kneels beside a smaller cube pulsing faintly on the ground. He presses his glowing hand against it, and his moonlight flows into the cube, reigniting its brilliance. The light bursts outward—strengthening the barrier around everyone.
Hans collapses from exhaustion. Voytek rushes to catch him and carries him to a fountain of holy water, where he submerges him gently. The water hisses as it burns away the dark worms.
Moments later, Hans gasps awake. He and Voytek embrace tightly as the Stars cheer around them.
Later, a sunlight sphere descends in, radiating warmth through the gloom. Hans reaches out first—the light floods him with memories of the battles raging across the planet. The others touch it too, absorbing fragments of the sunlight's power.
Together, they burst upward like golden comets, breaking through the shadows, battling waves of dark monsters. As they reach the surface, the darkness grows dense, the dark monsters are much stronger.
Then suddenly—a golden, digital hand of pure sunlight pierces through the darkness above, descending from the sky like divine code unraveling the void.
Hans reaches for it touching the glowing fingers. In that instant, a surge of radiant energy floods through his body, sunfire merging with moonlight. The same light bursts through every Star around him, connecting them in a blinding network of divine power.
As they defeat the monsters, they later join the others in the dark lands for the final dark wars.
Hans and Voytek fight side by side, but soon the light around them begins to fade. The dark demon lady in the sky is all mighty powerful as her presence is crushing. They struggle to resist as the darkness starts to consume them and everyone.
Just as their souls begin to dim, two fragments of Boa's soul blaze through the void, wrapping around them and rekindling their inner light. Still, it isn't enough to turn the tide.
Then, Vel's voice echoes across the world, singing her magical beautiful song. The melody cuts through the darkness, keeping every spirit alive.
And at last, Rose destroys the darkness and freeing Doom Planet.
Time passes. Hans and Voytek now stand aboard Nox's prismatic floating village, gazing out at the swirling rainbow portal ahead. Together, they cross through it, escaping the first stage of the Star Games.
Moments later as they arrive in God's Kingdom, the golden streets shimmer beneath their feet, reflecting the radiant sky above. Suddenly, a flurry of miniature polar bear guides materializes all around them, as they cheer with excitement.
"He's back!" one squeaks.
"Time sure does fly!" another chimes.
"After a decade, he finally returned!"
Voytek exhales deeply, taking in the familiar divine air. His own bear guide appears beside him, floating at shoulder height with a proud smile.
"And here I thought you'd never come back after what happened ten years ago," the bear says with a chuckle. "But look at you now—the returning legend, stepping into the games for the eighth time!"
The other bears swirl around in joy, their laughter echoing through the streets as nearby Stars turn to watch.
After three days of rest, they make their way to the Golden Station, a vast structure of glass and light. Through a massive glass window, they see Waenush waiting on the other side.
Hans waves eagerly. "GG(Great Gramps), you're here! Weird seeing me from this side, huh?"
Waenush chuckles softly and shakes his head. "You're just like Voytek, so young, yet already stepping into the Star Games."
Voytek places a hand on Hans's shoulder. "But he's different," he says proudly. "Hans is a lot stronger and smarter than I was back then."
Waenush's smile trembles as tears begin to form. "I'm glad you finally came to your senses, Voytek. I wish Norval and Laenu could see this… they'd be so proud of you both."
Hans smiles with fiery confidence. "Don't worry, GG, you'll see them soon! Because we're going to win! Well… at least one of us will." He laughs, trying to lighten the mood.
Voytek chuckles too, nodding. "Yeah. Once one of us becomes God, we'll bring the family back together. And we'll make our home planet better, without fear of destruction as plan."
Waenush wipes his tears, voice shaking. "I wish I could be there with you both... also Hans... Ninth place is so high!"
Hans and Voytek laugh warmly, their joy echoing through the glass walls, a rare moment of peace.
Moments later, they head to a golden restaurant, eating as much as they can until their stomachs are full.
Hans leans back and says, "I'm really full now. Four more days until the second stage starts…"
Voytek nods with a stuffed chin. "This is actually my first time enjoying the game breaks throughout all the times I've been here. Oh, by the way, I see you've put a lot of trust in other Stars. Back in my days, it was hard to build such trust with any other Star from different planets."
Hans chuckles. "Well, the odds of finding great allies in the game are pretty low."
Voytek raises an eyebrow. "When did you start talking about percentage odds?"
Hans leans in. "From the great Star who saved us, of course, King Nox! He's so cool! He even told me he knows you too. He called you by your nickname, The Returning Legend."
Voytek looks surprised. "How does he know me? I've never seen him before in any Star Games."
Hans shrugs. "Nox said he did lots of research on other planets, so of course your name would come up!"
Voytek leans forward. "So who are the others that you trust?"
Hans replies, "Well, I'd say Corvex. I met her outside the Moon Tribe Village. She was hard to deal with at first, but when she saw the vision of the planet turning into darkness, she quickly trusted us and fought hard by my side against the dark monsters. "
He then lays back on the chair with his arms out,
"As for the others, I don't know them that well, but they helped us a lot when it mattered and they played a big part in clearing the first stage. But for sure, Kayle and Boa stands out the most."
Voytek nods. "Yeah, to be honest, this year's first stage was the most challenging it's ever been. No other Star Games started this hard. Also there are too many powerhouses this year, it'll be tough to win against them. But luckily, I've obtained a great skill during the Dark Wars."
Hans's eyes widen. "No way! Did you actually?!"
Voytek poses confidently, his stomach sticking out as he says proudly, "Indeed, I did. I've obtained the first level of Ultra, Ultra Thinking. But I can't use it for long, so I only activate it in short bursts."
Hans looks amazed. "Ultra Thinking, the ability to think a thousand times faster in mere seconds, simulating all kinds of outcomes as if you can see the future itself! And the next level is Ultra Syndicate, the power to have multiple thoughts at once as if you have more than one brain, with each one of them using Ultra Thinking about different topics at the same time! I want some Ultra levels too!"
Voytek laughs. "You're still too young. But once you push your brain beyond its limits, you'll be able to achieve it."
Hans then asks, "Now that I think about it… what level of Ultra comes after that?"
Voytek thinks for a moment before replying, "Not sure. No mortal has ever gone beyond Ultra Syndicate. But I bet it would be a godly feat."
Suddenly, both of their guide bears magically appear, speaking in unison, "You've been invited to Gaia's concert. Thank you for helping us during the first stage, I hope to continue this alliance until the final stage of the games."
Hans's eyes light up. "We're going, right?!"
Voytek nods. "Yeah, we've got time to waste."
