Chapter 42 - DAY 3 - IGNITION OF POWER

Back on Doom Planet, in the eastern islands at night, Crank, the Chimera, Jen, Direwolf, and the Ghostly T-Rex are blasted away by the Blaze Dragon's fire and lightning attack. They all crash onto the shore of the village. Jen coughs up blood as she struggles to stand.

Crank tries to get up and says, "Damn... even with the Omega of the old pack, we're no match for that dragon."

The Blaze Dragon glows with a fierce, radiant aura—fire and lightning crackling around its body—as it prepares to unleash a massive explosion.

Crank forces himself to his feet and shouts, "Get up and fight! We have no choice, or else we'll all die! It's going to destroy everything—GET UP!"

Jen slowly rises, wincing from the pain. "I can barely sense Boa... How do we even get him out of there? I don't know how much time we have left... I can't allow him to die like this."

Her eyes begin to flicker between yellow and blue. Inside her bloodstream, a surge of energy accelerates—blood cells colliding violently, triggering chemical reactions that release glowing blue liquid into her veins.

Jen whispers, "What choice do I have... I'm sorry, Boa, but—"

Suddenly, a deep, haunting howl echoes through the night. It comes from the T-Rex. The sound resonates like a spiritual chant, and it halts Jen's transformation. Her flickering eyes stabilize. She gasps, "What was that...? It's as if... No—it was a voice I heard. But who could that be?"

The powerful howl freezes the Blaze Dragon mid-charge. Its raging aura remains alight, but the dragon itself seems frozen in time.

Crank leaps into the air, attempting to strike the dragon, but he bounces off the aura and crashes back onto the shore. Jen rushes over and stops him.

"It stopped..." she says quietly.

Crank, brushing sand off his head, scowls. "What stopped?!"

Then he notices. The Blaze Dragon still isn't moving. Its attack remains suspended, frozen in the moment.

They both turn to the Ghostly T-Rex, whose translucent body begins to fade. A soft, ethereal voice emerges—not from the T-Rex's mouth, but from within their minds.

"Save me... please..."

Jen's eyes widen. "Crank, did you hear that too? It was a woman's voice."

"I did," Crank replies, stunned. "It's... hard to explain, but that's not the Omega speaking. It's... uh... what do you call it... the ground? No... the trees? No, not that... I can't find the word... The Omega of the old pack protects a lady, that is—uhm..."

Jen puts a hand on his shoulder and softly says, "I get it now, Crank. You can stop. It's the planet itself that's speaking to us. Somehow, it's helping us in this fight. I can still sense Boa. He's alive... and he's still fighting inside that dragon."

Inside the dragon's belly, Boa's spiritual form swims through the acidic depths surrounding a glowing fireball. He reaches forward into the fireball, plunging his arm into the flame. A yellow beam shoots from his fingertip and gently touches the unconscious Ignis.

In a flash, Boa is transported to a lava-scorched land. Flames blaze endlessly across the terrain. He looks around, stunned.

"It's burning everywhere... where am I?"

Suddenly, he senses a faint spiritual presence in the distance. He dashes toward it, dodging bolts of lightning that strike the lava ground, erupting bursts of lava all around him. He leaps through a glowing spiritual area and lands on a patch of green grass—the untouched part of the spiritual realm.

He turns to see the chaos outside the area. The lightning and lava are slowly consuming everything, the grass around him beginning to smolder and die. He walks forward, deeper into this spiritual area, and soon discovers a towering structure. As he lifts his gaze, he sees a massive sun hanging above it.

His eyes widen in awe.

"What the... this is the power of a Chosen One? His energy is incredible. No wonder the Blaze Dragon wanted to devour him—his powers burns the brightest. With this kind of power, the dragon could reduce the entire planet to ash."

He glances behind him again. The lava creeps closer, the protective spiritual area weakening.

"He's somehow resisting digestion," Boa mutters. "That's why the dragon hasn't fully gained his powers. That's also why it needed to devour me too—so it could use my energy to break this man faster."

Boa steps up to the building. A wooden sign hangs at the entrance: "Ignis's Dream House."

He pushes the door open and hears music and laughter. Dozens of human spirits dance and sing joyfully within.

As Boa walks further into the crowd, the singing stops. The dancers freeze and turn to stare at him, silent and watchful.

The double doors to the kitchen swing open. A spiritual man steps out, holding a tray of glowing food.

"Why'd you all stop singing? I just finished cooking!" he shouts, then notices Boa and freezes. The tray slips from his hands and crashes to the floor.

"Who are you?"

Boa steps forward. "My name is Boa. But more importantly... what are you doing? Are you just going to accept death?"

The spiritual man's face tightens with anger.

"I don't know who you are," he says, voice trembling, "but yes. I'm trying to enjoy what little time I have left before the end."

He sighs and says, "This was my life before I joined the Star Games... I was a fool. I left behind such a great life, just to end up in a dragon's belly... What a fool of a dream!"

Boa looks at him seriously and asks, "So what made you join the Star Games?"

The spiritual man says, "My friend Tobias is the smartest man from my home planet. He always wanted to test his knowledge, but he lacked the courage to push himself. But truly—he's amazing. He figured out the cure for cancer, developed tech to make life better for so many... but he couldn't do it alone. His will is weak. Any doubt in his mind can break him easily. That's why he needed a friend like me—to push him forward and remind him of what he's capable of."

He reaches for a piece of spiritual food, but it fades away from his hand before he can grab it. He sighs and continues, "One thing led to another, and eventually the Star Games became our focus. The goal of becoming a God... it felt reachable. So we trained every day—pushing his mind beyond its limits, and sharpening our bodies and now we're here."

His gaze drops as he adds, "But on the first day, I couldn't find him at all. When I became a Chosen, I sent our light S.O.S signal into the sky, hoping he'd see it... but he never came. I hope he's still alive. Knowing him, he'd struggle without me, but he's smart—smart enough to survive. I hope he completed his task and is watching me now from God's Arena. He must be really emotional... seeing me like this."

Boa steps forward, reaching out his hand. "Then fight to stay alive—for his sake," he says. "Don't give up. You're not alone. I'm a Chosen too. If we work together, we can get out of here."

The spiritual man looks doubtful. "But how? We can't beat this dragon with brute strength."

Boa grabs his hand firmly and lifts him up. "That's true," he says, "but we can beat it another way. I have people who also depends on me—I can't die here. With your support and power, we can unite and fight this dragon spiritually. Spirit magic is my specialty—I'm even better than you. But I'm drained. Lend me your power, and together we'll break out of here."

One by one, the spirits around them begin to fade. The house dissolves into light, revealing that the spiritual realm has shrunk even further.

The man laughs, shaking his head. "It's like the roles are reversed for me now... I can't believe I'm this mentally weak. Maybe you're the luck I needed."

He grins and nods with renewed energy. "Let's do this. The name's Ignis Kumane."

The spiritual realm begins to glow as the sun above them descends in a radiant beam of light. Suddenly, Ignis awakens inside his fireball—only to see Boa's spiritual form beneath it, pushing the blazing sphere upward through the acidic depths.

They rise through the acid, reaching the top where a glowing yellow sphere awaits. Ignis watches as Boa's spirit floats back into his body. Boa slowly opens his eyes and begins to push his sphere closer until it touches Ignis's.

The two spheres fuse into one.

Boa sees Ignis lying down, drained of energy. Ignis looks up weakly and asks, "Are you sure we can do this?"

Boa reaches out. They clasp hands, sharing what little energy and stamina they have left. Boa replies, "We won't know for sure unless we try. Now focus on your inner self—and I'll take over from there."

Suddenly, a greenish energy begins to swirl around them. A woman's voice echoes faintly in their minds:

"Save me… please."

Boa's eyes widen. "Who was that? Doesn't matter—she's given us enough energy to push even further!"

In a flash, their spirits are transported to a realm covered in molten lava. The air shimmers with heat, and the ground rumbles beneath their feet.

Across the lava field, the spirit of the Blaze Dragon appears—massive, furious, and charging straight at them. It roars and unleashes a devastating blast of fire.

Ignis steps forward, summoning his inner flames. "Hah!!" He roars as his fire meets the dragon's, neutralizing the blast in a clash of blazing energy.

Boa leaps forward, lightning crackling in his hands. "Now's our chance!"

He hurls a bolt of lightning, striking the dragon in its chest as the battlefield shakes from the impact.

But the Blaze Dragon powers through their attacks, slamming into them with immense force. Ignis and Boa are thrown back, crashing and skidding across the burning lava plains.

Suddenly, green energy begins to swirl around their spiritual bodies—restoring their strength and reigniting their determination.

They rise together, their eyes blazing with focus.

With a synchronized cry, they charge at the dragon once more. Their combined strikes of flame and lightning clash against the beast, again and again, forcing it backward. The Blaze Dragon screeches as it's driven into the molten lake behind it.

Then—something extraordinary happens.

Brilliant green wings sprout from their backs, pulsing with the energy of the mysterious voice. Their powers surge. In unison, they launch into the air, soaring as twin comets of lightning and fire. Each strike from above pierces deeper into the dragon's spiritual form, ripping holes across its burning body.

The dragon roars in fury.

With a deafening cry, it summons hundreds of lava pillars from the ground, creating a chaotic battlefield of fire and stone. Explosions erupt everywhere. Boa and Ignis crash into a few of the pillars but recover instantly, their will unshaken.

The Blaze Dragon releases its full strength.

A wave of raw fire energy expands across the sky, turning the atmosphere itself into an inferno. More flames burst from the ground, encircling them.

Ignis braces himself. "Even with all this power—it's still this strong!"

Boa continues to push forward. "We have to keep pushing! This is a battle of endurance now!"

The clash intensifies. Explosions of lava, fire, and lightning detonate across the spiritual realm, shaking the very sky.

Boa suddenly shouts with fierce resolve, "I won't lose again! This determines the fate of the world—I will NOT lose!"

A torrent of lightning bursts from his body.

In that instant, his magical weapon materializes in his hand, glowing with unrestrained energy. As he grips it, memories flood his mind—visions from Yunbam and Hank—flashing in milliseconds.

He sees all that has happen in the war.

His eyes flare open.

"Yunbam… you've really leveled up my weapon," Boa whispers, awestruck. "I knew I could trust you. You've done a great job… my friend."

His body begins to glow—then grow.

Boa expands into a massive titan, his form crackling with divine lightning. His sword enlarges with him, pulsing with sacred energy. Ignis then fuses his spirit into Boa's, adding his fiery soul into the mix.

The titan blazes in radiant yellow and red, and green wings erupt from its back once more—fully awakened.

A raging aura of power surrounds them. The fused spirit of Boa, Ignis, and the planet itself moves as one.

With a mighty roar, the titan swings its colossal blade downward.

The sword cleaves through the Blaze Dragon—and in an instant, its entire spiritual form detonates.

The shockwave shatters the realm.

The entire spiritual plane explodes in a blinding storm of light, fire, and energy.

Back in the real world, the Blaze Dragon's intense aura slowly fades. Its eyes turn white as its body crashes into the ocean, disintegrating into ashes that float away—leaving only Boa, Ignis, and a glowing red orb hovering above the tides.

Onshore, Prekayda and all the natives cheer with joy. Crank and Jen embrace each other, tears streaming down their faces as they see that Boa is still alive. Without hesitation, they leap into the ocean, swimming as fast as they can toward him.

Meanwhile, in the northern region of the planet, the morning sun rises over a snow-covered cliff. Lars and Atheen stand at the edge, ready for war.

"Alright," Atheen says, adjusting her jacket. "That's all of the battle plans I've gathered. Let's do our best and beat this dragon!"

Lars cracks his knuckles, summoning his gauntlets as purple steam hisses from them. Atheen raises her ice wand, glowing with a brilliant white aura.

Lars smirks. "Let's get this over with... I'm ready to show you why I'm the strongest."

Suddenly, the massive ice cube caging the Power Dragon begins to crack. As the first rays of sunlight touch it, the ice shatters completely.

The Power Dragon roars to life, spreading its colossal wings and unleashing an overwhelming aura. But instead of attacking, it turns its head sharply—looking toward another direction.

Then, without warning, it takes off, flying away from them.

Lars stares in disbelief. "What? Where is it going?!"

Atheen blinks, then chuckles. "Ahhh... it must've sensed someone else stronger than you."

Lars's face twists with fury. "Stronger than me?!"

He leaps forward with explosive force, catching up to the dragon mid-flight. With a powerful punch, he slams the beast down into the snowy terrain below.

"You're not getting away," he growls. "Not after what you did to me!"
