Willbert opened his eyes in confusion and shock. "W-what!?" he gasped in horror and coughed up blood.
Half of the Conquest Tower had been shattered and scattered across the surroundings. The remaining half trembled, while magical runes on its walls flickered and faded. The tower, which Lord Ülgen had fortified and meticulously configured over the years with various materials, was now in ruins. To make matters worse, the conquest energy stored within the tower had dispersed, instantly nullifying the empowering enchantment on Willbert.
Approaching footsteps made Willbert instinctively reach for his sword—but he couldn't grasp it."When did I lose my sword?.." Scanning the area with his eyes, he looked down at his waist and realized—his lower body was gone.
"Still alive, are you?" With a cold voice, a robed figure was thrown beside Willbert.
