Chapter 5 - 5. Smart Paradoxical Fools: The Earthlings

Humans we tend to scratch our wounds

Tend to overlook those boons – then again, praised are the silver spoons

Be pruned to face ourselves and what hurt us

Our nails are the ones digging towards the puss we rust

Was… A time when we blamed our wound

To not be wound

In threads of healing, but, plaster tears

Faster than the nerves signal the pain of the pulled out hair

We look to see if the wound bound by magic has yet healed

Get thrilled and cry a shrill for pain hasn't been killed

We removed the seal for we moved on, but we didn't, we couldn't

We cry to try again and not get hurt but we do we go awry in hatred to self

-WHY HAVEN'T I HEALED, I LET MYSELF, I HAVE RESTED FOR SO LONG. I'M DONE BEING WEAK. I'M DONE CRYING IN SHRIEKS. I'M…

A fool. A paradox.

How do I expect to dance on the same blade, longer, bolder

No you see, you ARE stronger but just because you healed once you aren't immortal

Mortal, where is love but to just let it be

Set it free, but, don't you see?

Love is to hold — not to let go

Present to the past never withholds

The after has come, it is nigh

So why sigh and NOT just be with thine life?

You are here, but there, where you have already been – then why did I let go?

Don't you know… Love is to climb up – not drop below

We live in time, the straight line that goes forward facing behind

Racing to the line of insanity divine

To let love be and be a myth foretold

Present doesn't have real love — you're old!

Peace in chaos has us all sold

For normal is normally "always been this way" – or so I've been told

Behold, anthropoid, for the wound still aches after it is gone – it hasn't set you free

Love still breaks – for it aches to be us and not me

Time still takes sometimes even you, but you… Are right here, not there, time has taken you forward not to destruction but what you sowed, away from what you left

You'll never make it to the lake

Cause you are the fisherman with the golden rod

But you'll displease, when you say you own the simple rusted reel, the lake god

Beware… You wound, forward in time, the love you let go

But yet… Let go, for you'd rather be one of them; than be the one

#Ah, here we are again. I forgot that I was supposed to do this. Well, getting back to whatever this was. Here is a poem which I presented on a stage and won, on the prompt of "Paradox". How wonderful to get that perfect prompt. So yeah, wrote a little on the paradox of advices. How we say we are to let go of love. How we humans tend to not let ourselves heal, but want to be healed. How we go forward while facing behind. Yeah. Smart Paradoxical Fools we are#
