Chapter 66 - Flames

It took a whole two weeks before the doctor finally signed my release and boy, was I glad to get the hell out of that place

The smell of hospital walls sickened me , not to talk about the fact that I was not allowed to leave my damn bed apart from when I had to have physiotherapy 

So far, it had been an outstanding success, I would say, I mean, being able to walk and use all my appendages was a win even if my brain was still fractured and half of it locked up

The doctor's had put me off pain meds and that was the worst part of it all 

Pain was my everyday companion, my waking and sleeping, everywhere hurt.

Most especially, if I stayed any moment longer, my self control will break. I won't be able to contain the gnawing need to take something to mask the pain and the withdrawals that were threatening to reveal themselves 

"I can walk, you know"

I said as I eyed the wheel chair that Blake had brought to take me to the car
