Uncle Peter was truly nice to me, I was happy that finally the men stopped coming to our house once Uncle Peter started dating mum.
I didn't need to make the Uncle's happy anymore, and mum was usually happy these days.
She even gave me permission to go to the dance. Neeta and Andie were very thrilled, we go dressed at Andie's home because Andie's mum was the bestest mum one could have.
I often wished that she was my mum. She made Andie sandwiches to school, dropped her in school everyday and Andie said she had never hit her.
Initially I did not know what real mother's were like , I always though all mum's were like mine. But then I realised it was not from Andie and Neeta.
They always had good things to say about their parents but I never seemed to have anything to say.
At first I thought having Uncles over was normal but then I realised it was not.
