Griselda sits still on the table, still in Aidan's embrace. Her tears have stopped, replaced by a quiet awe as she holds his warm masculine body tightly.
His words which are so full of love and happiness wrap around her heart like a warm blanket. He lifts her face, his thumbs gently wiping away the tears on her face which is slowly drying up.
She looks up at him and seeing the devotion in his eyes, the fear she felt is gone, replaced by a deep sense of relief. She feels so stupid and angry for making up those multiple scenarios of the possible bad reactions she might get from Aidan when she tells him.
"You're not angry?" she asks, her voice a bit hoarse.
Aidan shakes his head, a soft, loving smile on his face. "Why should I be? This is the best news I've ever gotten. You're going to be a mother, Culver. And I'm going to be a father. This is a blessing."
