Moses gently shook his head, and the nurse came over, placing the tray in her hand on the table and picking up a small box from it.
"This is something we found in your clothes, which I carefully cleaned for you. I thought you might want to keep it as a memento. After all, it's something quite special."
The nurse smiled as she opened the lid of the small box and handed it to him.
Moses turned his face to look, and saw that inside the small box were two coins with holes in them.
He raised an eyebrow slightly and reached out to take the two coins into his hand.
Fearing he might not understand what they were, the nurse promptly explained, "These were found in your coat pocket. To put it simply, you're really lucky; these two coins happened to block the bullet heading toward you, reducing its forward momentum, which is why the bullet didn't hit your heart, buying you precious time."
Moses clutched the two coins, raising his face to give her a grateful smile.
"Thank you."
