On the second floor of the library Chen HaoYu met the old man.
The old man was placing a book on the table and seemed to be rummaging something inside his cosmic bangle.
"Grandpa! What are you doing here?" Chen HaoYu asked.
Turning around he said, "I was going to place something you might be interested in."
Looking toward Chen HaoYu, the old man had a feeling so he touch Chen HaoYu's wrist and was shocked!
"What's wrong grandpa? Is there something wrong with me?" Chen HaoYu asked in worry because he thought that something might've happened to him when he was in that world.
"No! No! Nothing's wrong! It's just that... Your magic core is fixed or rather to say it's brand new! How did you do it?" The old man looked at him with shocked. Ever since he met Chen HaoYu, he never felt that Chen HaoYu was sad about his broken magic core rather it was more like he had planned it all!
Scratching his head, Chen HaoYu looked sideways and said, "Uhh, I don't know?" He really didn't know anything!
"Don't lie to me! I may be old but it doesn't mean I'm blind!" The old man berated him because he firmly believed that Chen HaoYu must've planned it in the beginning.
After all for someone who had a broken magic core which is like your lifeline and not depressed is either that person is mentally ill or he had planned it to happen and looking at Chen HaoYu it could only be the latter.
Chen HaoYu couldn't say anything as he really didn't know anything! Making excuses using the world seed the old man gave him, he said, "It must've been the world seed that you gave me that it helped me with my magic core!"
But the old man still didn't believed it and thought that Chen HaoYu was just making excuses, "Whatever if you don't want to say it, anyway now that your magic core is fixed. It's time for you to find a cultivation technique!"
Hearing that he could now cultivate, he was excited! But he remembered that cultivation technique's are based on the person's magic energy that is why people undergo an affinity test to know what's their magic energy. So he said, "Then grandpa, I'll go have an affinity test first so I can start finding cultivation technique!"
Before Chen HaoYu could leave, the old man stopped him, "You don't have to do an affinity test! You can just start looking for cultivation technique."
"Huh? What do you mean by that grandpa? Doesn't anyone need to do an affinity test before cultivating?" Chen HaoYu was confused because that is indeed what one needed to do before cultivating.
"Well you're right! But! You are different!"
"How am I different?"
"You're magic core is brand new, the same goes for your spiritual root. The reason why your magic core cannot be fixed before is because your spiritual root has been squeezed dry by an unknown power! But now that your magic core is fixed or to say that it is brand new, it goes the same for your spiritual root and though your situation is rare but this had already happened in this world where one was born with a blank spiritual root and no magic energy."
"Then... Would I still be able to cultivate if you say that I have blank spiritual root and no magic energy?" Chen HaoYu was worried when he heard about this. If he doesn't have any magic energy then how would he be able to cultivate?
The old man smiled, "You don't have to worry about that, it's not that you won't be able to cultivate or that you don't have magic energy but you can choose what magic energy you want to have and cultivate it. Your magic energy is like a blank canvas"
"Oh! You mean I can choose my own magic energy?"
"Yes but let's say you want to have fire energy, you will need someone who have fire energy to help you take the first step to turn your blank magic energy into fire energy and the same goes for other types of magic energy."
"I see..." Now that he can choose his own magic energy, he was thinking what magic energy should he have.
Then the old man turned solemn and said, "But! You only have one chance to change it, so I advise you to think carefully. Once you have chosen fire energy you cannot cultivate other energies, this is the disadvantage of this unlike others who can cultivate other energies at the same time."
"Ohh..." Even though he was sad to hear it but he also thought that it makes sense since it would be unfair if one could choose their magic energy freely and still be able to cultivate other magic.
The old man took a book out from his bangle and hand it to Chen HaoYu, "Here, even though I can't read what's written here. If I'm not wrong this should be a cultivation technique, I don't know what type of magic this book use but I feel like it's a cosmic energy, well based on what I saw inside."
Looking at the title of the book, Chen HaoYu was shocked that his eyes are almost popping out.
"What's wrong?" The old man didn't know what's going on or if the book that he thought was cultivation technique was not a cultivation technique.
Gulping, Chen HaoYu took the book with trembling hands and asked, "Are you sure you're giving me this cultivation technique?"
Still confused, the old man asked, "Why? Is this not a cultivation technique? But I do feel like it is. Tell me is what I thought wrong?"
Shaking his head, "No! No you're not wrong! It's just..."
"What is it then? If it's a cultivation technique then there's no need to make fuss about it!" Hearing that it is indeed a cultivation technique, he thought that Chen HaoYu was just excited.
"Grandpa... Do you know that if you knew what this is, you probably wouldn't even give it to me?"

"What! No, there has been no chaos cultivation technique and this is a complete book so it's more impossible for it to be a chaos energy cultivation technique!" The old man didn't believed it because the book was complete, if it's as what Chen HaoYu had said then at least the book the old man gave should not be in complete form and not looking brand new!
Yes, the book looked brand new and only a few dust covered it. So it was impossible for it to be such an ancient cultivation technique!
Bitterly smiling, Chen HaoYu said, "It's true even if you don't believe it"
Pointing at the title, he read aloud.
