Leah's unmatched strength was cut in half, weakened by Zed's careful and persistent touches, each one paired with his deep, low voice gently whispering her name, almost as if in worship. Still, she pushed through the haze and managed to break free from his hold. It was just enough to shift the power back into her hands.
At first, Zed wasn't fazed. But the moment he realized her wrists had slipped from his grasp and her warmth had vanished, he was forced to release his hold on her neck. He lifted his upper body slightly, just in time to meet her eyes. Before he could react, Leah shoved him upright into a standing position, facing her directly. His instincts stayed quiet as there was no sense of danger. His body remained relaxed, allowing the woman in front of him to act freely.
Leah grabbed the collar of his shirt, now missing a tie and with two buttons undone, revealing part of his clavicle glistening faintly with sweat. Her eyes never left his as she pulled him closer.
