Li Mei opened her eyes again.
She sat up slowly and looked around. A smile appeared when she saw the person she had been searching for since last night.
Tears silently fell from the tips of her long lashes onto her pale, pink-tinged cheeks.
Wang Haoran immediately stood up and gave Li Mei a gentle, warm hug.
Zhao Bolin also got up without realizing it. His eyes were teary, his face full of relief.
Even Aunt Hi, who pressed the call bell right away, had the same expression. Her red eyes showed she had been crying—and now she started again.
They all sat quietly in the room until the doctor and nurse arrived at the bedside.
"Her condition is the same as this morning. She needs to stay in the hospital for a few more days under observation," Dr. Yoon said.
"She must stay completely in bed, except when using the bathroom, just to be safe," she added.
While Wang Haoran quietly listened and nodded, Zhao Bolin responded, "Understood."
