With that, Yang Lan headed toward the director. Seeing Yang Lan return, the director immediately paused his conversation with Zeng Yi and greeted her.
Shen Mianmian couldn't hear what Yang Lan and the director were discussing from her distant spot; all she saw was the director's troubled expression shift as Yang Lan must have said something humorous because the director suddenly laughed, then glanced in Shen Mianmian's direction and nodded.
Zeng Yi also looked over at Shen Mianmian, appearing quite puzzled, then turned back as if to thank Yang Lan. Yang Lan waved it off and said her goodbyes to both men.
Yang Lan quickly walked back and said, "Let's go! It's settled, the director's willing to give him an audition chance."
Shen Mianmian smiled and replied, "I knew it, Director Yang, your influence is strong; the director was sure to grant you that favor."
