The face that originally appeared only in the task log device almost instantaneously took over all the screens in the monitoring station. No matter where the driver looked, he would be staring into that face.

He was too helpless. The driver couldn't see before, and feared the darkness, but now that he could see, he greatly regretted it. It would have been better to die without knowing anything, at least there'd be less torment.
