HOWL!
The piercing wolf howl, under the night sky at the Heart of Woods base, seemed especially grating.

Specks of light appeared on its body, like fireflies drifting all around it.
And on its body, streaks of light, alternately bright and dim, also appeared, as if short-circuited light bulbs were flickering rapidly.
