Chapter 11 - Chapter 3:-The Road of Fractured Gods Act-3(Final Act)

The winds above the cloudsea howled like ancient spirits as Troady and Lira finally reached the end of their long, fractured road. Before them floated a sight so vast, so unearthly, that both of them stood frozen in silence.

Cradlefall.

A citadel suspended high in the heavens, its towers forged from the pale remains of long-dead gods. Massive chains stretched downward into the clouds, glowing faintly with divine current, holding the city aloft like a forgotten relic of creation itself. The air around it shimmered, bending light, distorting time.

Troady stared up at it, his heart pounding. "So this is it… the final destination."

Lira nodded slowly, her voice hushed with awe. "The cradle where gods are born… and where they die."

They stepped forward, climbing the bridge of radiant glass that led to the city gates. Every step echoed like it was being recorded by the stars themselves. The gate stood higher than any wall they had ever seen—its surface carved with swirling runes that pulsed faintly in rhythm with Troady's heartbeat.

In the center of the gate burned a symbol identical to the Aethern Fragment embedded in his chest. As he approached, the sigil responded—glowing brighter, resonating with his very soul.

"Only one born of fracture may enter," a deep, formless voice declared.

Troady froze. "Born of… fracture?"

The air trembled around him. The mark on his chest began to pull, tugging at his essence like a tide.

"Troady, wait," Lira said sharply. "That gate—it's not just a door. It's alive. Once you cross it, you either ascend… or you cease to exist entirely."

He turned toward her, his eyes steady despite the storm raging behind them. "If I stop here, I'll never know why I was chosen. I can't live without that answer."

And before she could stop him, Troady pressed his hand against the gate.

The world turned inside out.

Light swallowed everything, erasing sky and earth alike. Troady found himself floating in an endless void filled with drifting fragments of stars. Shapes moved through the darkness—shattered silhouettes of forgotten deities, whispering in broken voices.

We were once whole.

The Creator divided us.

Now we wander, splintered and screaming.

Troady's eyes widened. "You… you're the Fractured Gods?"

A voice, older than time itself, spoke from the void.

You are one of us, my fragment. A piece of the divine scattered among mortals. Your suffering was never chance—it was purpose. You are the bridge between creation and ruin.

His pulse faltered. He finally understood. His cursed luck, his endless pain—it wasn't misfortune. It was inheritance.

"I am… the fracture itself," he whispered.

The void responded with a thunderous echo that shook his very soul.

Then embrace it. Reforge what was broken. Complete what your maker could not.

A surge of golden fire erupted from within him. The Aethern Fragment shattered, releasing waves of light that rippled through the void. The fragments of gods screamed and dissolved into motes of brilliance as the world began to reform.

Outside, Lira watched in horror as the citadel trembled. The chains anchoring Cradlefall snapped one by one, lightning arcing through the heavens. The sky itself began to collapse.

And then, from the collapsing light, Troady emerged.

He stepped forward calmly, eyes glowing with quiet divinity. The mark on his chest was gone, replaced by faint veins of light running across his skin. His aura felt neither human nor godlike—something between.

Lira ran toward him, her voice shaking. "Troady! What happened in there?"

He smiled faintly. "I didn't find God, Lira. I found His remains."

The sky above them split apart, revealing countless worlds glittering beyond the veil—like shards of a broken mirror reflecting creation itself.

Troady raised his hand, feeling the universe tremble at his touch. "The age of Fractured Gods ends here. From their ashes… something new will begin."

The last remnants of Cradlefall fell away, dissolving into light that rained upon the earth like divine tears. The world exhaled. The road had ended, but destiny had only just begun.
