"If my dad didn't have those thoughts, maybe he would have turned and left." Weilan looked at Lu Hechen, giving him a reassuring look, "Don't worry, I said Aunt Fu was in a terrible state, and he's kind-hearted. He'd definitely care too much to just turn away."
Lu Hechen sighed. "So, you set Dad up?"
Weilan nodded, looked at him, and then showed a very guilty expression, saying, "I feel guilty and apologetic. My dad has been wholehearted in his dedication for me, yet I set him up, and even want his son to acknowledge Aunt Fu. Thinking about it, I'm still very guilty."
Lu Hechen reached out and held her hand, his warm hand enveloping Weilan's small hand.
He pulled it over, placed it by his lips, and gently kissed Weilan's hand, "Weilan, you did all of this for Aunt Fu and me."
