Alsen's POV
I'd always known Keill's dark secret: he fed on people's pain and blood. But to me, he was a blessing in disguise. He taught me to confront my demons, gave me a home, and provided for us. His guidance helped me navigate my darkest hours.
"If I'm not telling the truth..." The man's threat hung in the air like a guillotine. Fear gripped me, thinking of my life and my child's in jeopardy. Yet, I refused to betray the one person who'd ever shown me kindness.
Keill had been my rock, my mentor. He'd trained me to fight, to survive. I owed him my loyalty.
"Then you leave me no choice...Neander," Karma sneered, slamming the door shut behind me.
I knew Karma's men would return empty-handed any minute now. I had to escape before they came back, but my mind was anchored to my kids. I couldn't leave them vulnerable. I had to fight my way out, even if it meant risking my life to protect them.
