Chapter 192 - Chapter 192: Vivienne Vs Lirale (1)

"Welcome ladies and gentlemen to one of our final battles!!!" A loud voice could be heard ring hard through the entire colessium.

The place was packed with elves as they were excited and eager to see the battles unfold. "I still can't believe that Vivienne is still allowed to participate!"

A voice could be heard coming from one of the noble rooms. Her presence overall had greatly shifted the power scaling of the entire result.

Since tradition, the elves would pride themselves with higher tier as low tier experts were made fun of however with Vivienne's presence, this wasn't the case.

Not only was she able to perfectly compete with the rest of her competition but also, she had one the greatest chances of winning it all alongside Lirale and Isilindil.

Lirale glanced at her opponent as a tier four expert if not higher. Not just her but a lot of people were questionable as to how she was able to accomplish this feat.

"Today we will have Lirale Frostbloom facing Vivienne Caldwell! Truly a gift for all as a confrontation between these two prodigies."

"One of them talented since birth, having the entire world at her hands while the other, she rose out of the darkness and has been dominating the game ever since."

Vivienne however wasn't dressed in her usual pristine clothes which was an indication that she wasn't going to fight or the battles that she would have weren't going to be tough for a monster like her.

Today, she was dressed in something more arena based. Clothes for maneuverability and agility as she glanced at her opponent. She was aware that. There were all kinds of eyes watching this spectacle in the shadows.

Some curious, others baffled by her progress while others harbouring malice towards her. 'Sure I may have a formidable offense however in terms of defense, it is not that great.'

She was aware of the concept of offense is the best defense however such a tactic couldn't be implemented in every single battle that she would be in.

"And with that said, let the battle begin!!!" The colessium burst into a fit of joy and glee as they anticipated a fight of the two beauties in front of them, each having a complex background beneath them.

"Who do you think will win?" Narandial asked Julian who was invested in the fight that was about to unfold. "I think that Vivienne could win however I haven't seen that much action from Lirale as well."

"Safe to say that the outcome will be pretty interesting." Narandial was glad as she heard this. Sure she wanted her children to win and hone their skills to the fullest however seeing how Vivienne was progressing, something didn't sit right with her.

'For her to understand the meaning of progression, she must understand what it means to fail. If not here then somewhere else.' Should Vivienne lose in a battle, she wanted her to understand that it was okay however in the meantime she could only wait.

Lirale's eyes locked onto Vivienne's who seemed callous to what was about to unfold and in a span of seconds, an ice barrier surrounded her figure. 'Now she can't just throw me out of the arena so casually.'

She mused as she anticipated an attack from Vivienne considering that she was the one taking the initiative in every single of her fights but now, she slowed down and waited.

Vivienne glanced at the figure encapsulated within her ice cage. "Don't worry, I actually plan on having a proper fight with you." Her voice raised shock through the entire colessium.

So far she was known with how fast she would eliminate her opponents but now, she seemed to hold back her ideals and opt for a proper fight.

'But why?' Julian mused as he couldn't rack his brains as to why she would do something like this and it wasn't him who was perplexed. Lirale who had been wary was caught off guard with her statement.

'Does she hold some form of regard for me to say so or is she simply toying with me?' Tired of waiting for her to get out of her cage, she shot at her figure which was a display of her other attributes.

'Wait, she is going to attack me like this?!' Lirale had thought that she was more into long range as she had the greatest advantage in deploying such a tactic but it would seem that she had more tricks up her sleeve.

'But does she really think that she can breach my domain barrier so easily?!' It wouldn't be easy for Vivienne accomplish such a feat however the reality that unfolded betrayed her eyes.

As her figure was right outside of the domain, a strange glow was emitted from her body and...

*BAM*

She felt a fist falling right into her face making her stagger backwards slightly before regaining her footing. 'What? But how did she get past the barrier of my domain? Does she have an artifact on her?'

Contrary to what was running through her head, Julian and Narandial were baffled that she was able to do so. 'Is that spatial manipulation that she was talking about in our previous life?'

Julian couldn't help but think as he saw this. Yvette had told him about her skills however at the time, he wasn't all that interested but now, he realized how potent this skill is.

Without missing a beat, Lirale took the advantage of Vivienne encompassed in her domain as a wicked smile flashed on her face. 'To think that you'd be so simple.'

The dome was visible to the outside world however a thick barrier prevented anyone from peering through. "What?" "What is going on?" Disgruntled expressions could be heard coming from the audience.

Vivienne saw the multiple icicles aimed at her however her line of sight never broke free from Lirale.

*Whoosh*

They were all released, clearly with the intention of making her come to a halt however once more, Lirale had an ugly expression as she saw the icicles despite landing near her, none of them were actually hitting her.

They would fall to the ground before coming in contact or they would overall divert their trajectory elsewhere and shatter beneath her feet. Regardless she kept the torrential going as she made her advances.

The dome was filled with a strange mist which could pose a problem to others failed to deter her.

She could feel the mist start to bore deep into her body, her movements becoming sluggish and rugged.

Lirale however wasn't dettered as using Vivienne's hear signature using the dome, she was able to locate her with relative ease.

Taking advantage of the situation, Lirale made her advances as she mused that she would be overwhelmed with what she had dro face. Not only the mist but also the icicles would be troublesome to deal with simultaneously thus with her attention diverted, she lunged at her figure.

*Whoosh*

And just like that, Vivienne's figure flashed outside of the dome back to where she was initially. Lirale who was in the dome could no longer feel her heat signature, realizing that she had already vanished outside.

Tired of the dome that she was facing, she stretched out her hand which riled up the anticipation of the audience. This was a sign that she was tired of the battle which made them consider whether she was going to dispose Lirale in such a manner.

Strangely enough, Lirale's figure wasn't sent crashing into the wall like they had predicted but rather, they could hear strange sounds coming from the dome.

'She's trying to crack it open!' Julian mused as he saw this. Even he at first wouldn't have made the move her sister did however given that she had such an advantage, it wasn't something too unexpected.

'She has agility and power at her disposal, capable of ending thi fight rather quickly but it would seem that she isn't interested in this. Why?'

The ideal outcome was to end the fight as quickly as possible to minimize losses and energy spent given that the more one spent more time on an opponent, the more cards they would reveal to not only their enemy but also future adversaries as well.

Thus seeing her toy with Lirale was something that he couldn't quite understand. 'It would seem that she is trying to force me out of my dome!'

Lirale could feel a strange pressure all over the dome. 'But why is it so strong? If this keeps up then I'll be forced out and I'll be out in the open...' More and more cracks could be seen form on both sides of the dome.

'It would seem that I have to take this fight with upmost caution and seriousness. I didn't want to reveal this so soon before I faced Isilindil.' A short sigh escaped her lips as she let the dome be fractured and shattered exposing her figure.

However in contrast to before, something else seemed to be lurking beneath her facade. Vivienne could feel the entire arena go colder and colder.

A feeling of anticipation clawed into her mind as she saw what was about to unfold. Lirale's figure was slowly bathed in ice, from the bottom up till her figure was completely frozen.

"What is she doing?" "Yeah now is the perfect opportunity to strike!" Those on the side couldn't understand why Vivienne was casually watching this instead of making her move.

The arena fell silent as Vivienne comfortably watched from the side till something to behold unfolded. Cracks could be seen on Lirale's figure and in a huge bang, her figure was finally revealed.

It was constitutend purely of ice, her locks similar to her eyes crystalline as they glanced at Vivienne. The area around her was slowly forming into ice as she admired her body.

'Damn you Vivienne.' She contemplated before her figure flashed across the arena. A trail of ice could be seen follow her as an ominous must was coming out of her pores. Vivienne watched her charge at her as a simple remark escaped her lips.

"Pathetic." Lirale who was about to connect to Vivienne's face came to a halt, however unlike other competitors, her attack didn't stop there as she spewed frost at Vivienne reducing the overall visibility.

Sensing something, Vivienne's figure moved to avoid contact as she casually flicked her wrists.

*Bam*

The sound of a figure could be heard crash heard into a wall however it wasn't Lirale but a physique similar to hers. It shattered before multiple more could be seen flying all over the arena.

Vivienne's spatial manipulation gained her an impeccable spatial awareness this she was able to tell where these dummies were and how to counter them. Lirale's figure on the other hand backed away as she controlled the puppets from the shadows.

'How dare she think that this is something pathetic? Does she not know how long it took me to achieve this form and control?' Despite the anger that was resting in her chest, she knew that it would be wiser to calm down first.

"Do you have anything else or should I finish this?" Not only Lirale but the observers were eager when they heard this. 'What tactic is she going to use?' Isilindil mused as he heard this.

At first he was taken aback by Lirale's development as he tried to put himself in Vivienne's place. 'Difficult but nothing I can't handle but what if I was facing against Vivienne?'

Lirale's eyes shrunk as she heard this. Realizing that Vivienne was about to make a move, an army of her puppets charged at her as she could feel the fatigue clawing through her body.

'Controlling all of these puppets is no easy feat not to mention I had to sacrifice a huge amount of mana for this phase. Vivienne on the other hand has been exterting herself and isn't showing any signs of slowing down.'

'I have to make my move fast.' Realizing that she was out of options, as her army charged towards Vivienne, her body seemed to gleam faintly within the mist.
