A servant proceeded to show Sophia around after she was done with her meal. She wanted to deal with her later however as of currently, she made her way towards the her room.
She collapsed onto her own chair as she fell into thought. "Andrew?" She started off. "Yes Sevyn." A response was given to her. "Can you send the Morvathian Dust to Miragestia as soon as possible? Possibly by the end of tonight."
"You want to deal with them so soon? Okay. It should be done sunset thus the operation would have to be done in the middle of the night." Sevyn was rather pleased as she heard this.
"However since your men will be at the site a few hours after the launch, it's potency will still be there thus I'll have some resources to combat it. Do you have your clothes around?"
Wondering why he would ask about it, she didn't hesitate as she made her way to her bedroom and removed her clothes. They were still where she had left them.
"Okay..." It came off as a murmur however to her surprise, the clothes that she had changed. It seemed to break down into small fine particles before they built themselves up once more.
The end result was a huge structure she couldn't identify however it was simply a 3-d printer. Faint lights shot and in a matter of minutes, more clothes seemed to have been manufactured.
They were all black which shimmered faintly under the sun's rays. Along with it a vial of black gooey substance was synthesized however she couldn't deduce what it was.
"Consider those presents for your men. As for the slime, I'd recommend you take it as you are about to fall asleep." She was intrigued as she saw it however she could only postpone it for now.
She looked outside only to realize that the sun was sinking before the last of it's rays shone at the castle which was followed by a faint darkness that started to devour the lands.
She made her way back to the throne room where Kellan was eagerly waiting for her. Behind him were exactly one hundred men, at the very least each one of them was on the fourth tier if not higher with some already at the fifth tier on the lower arrays.
They all kneeled simultaneously as they spotted Sevyn's figure barge through the doors, speaking as one. "We greet our Queen." Sevyn felt a tinge of pride as she heard this before resting on the throne.
"You may rise." Her voice laced with a tint of authoritativeness and apathy. Kellan stepped forward in his armor before taking another bow before standing firm, similar to the men behind him.
"Your Queen, your men are awaiting your orders!" His voice dripped with firmness and resolve. "Very well, however you won't be adorned in your regular armor."
*Snap*
Numerous servants flooded the throne room, each with the clothing she was gifted. Kellan looked at the clothing in confusion. A light tap on it and it immediately took over his entire body.
His armor was instantly assimilated before his entire figure similar to the men behind him was bathed in darkness. He inspected his palm with shock before his eyes landed back to Sevyn.
"I know that you will ask about the clothing that you are in however just dismiss it as my gift .It should take you a matter of hours to arrive at Miragestia, everything else should have been taken care off, good luck."
"Very well, my Queen." Kellan could only swallow his curiosity as the men behind him took their leave. "Oh, and Kellan, it was an honor for you to serve Sablestone." She added on to which he found rather ominous.
Regardless he could only take his leave off the throne room as he assembled his men outside. They had already discussed the matters before hand thus all they had to do was hop on the arrays they had set up earlier.
*Whoosh*
All of their figures appeared far away from Sablestone to which a pack of Cromwoods were waiting. Unlike those that had attacked Hilda and the caravan she was in, these were tamed as they waited patiently.
"Okay. We have a few hours before daylight is up thus we have to make this fast." His voice shouted as he hopped onto a tier four Cromwood. In a matter of minutes, several shadows could be seen traversing through the woods, indiscernible to the naked eye.
*Meanwhile In Miragestia*
Ignatius was happily feasting on his meal with his family before he felt that something was off. He eyed the food that he was eating as he scanned it briefly before concluding that it wasn't it.
"What is it my darling?" One of his wives took the initiative to ask as they could sense that something was upsetting him. "I can't help that there is nagging feeling that something is off..."
He trailed off as he stood. He knew that he could always trust his senses and they were warning him that something was ridiculously wrong. The problem, he couldn't pin point what exactly thus he decided to go outside and breathe in some fresh air.
As his figure appeared on one of the balconies to his palace, he glanced at the now deep blue azure night sky. Everything seemed to be fine however the gnawing feeling didn't leave him in the slightest.
As he was ready to head back inside, he saw a faint streak of light flash across the sky. His eyes narrowed at it as he struggled to get a clearer visual; on it however it disappeared as soon as it came.
"I must be imagining things." He mused beneath his breathe as he went back in. 'Maybe it's all the stress that has been building up.' He thought naturally and it was rather normal to conclude so.
As of late, his kingdom has been losing their ranking off the map in comparison to the other kingdoms. And with their proximity to Aewdwen, it acted as a catalyst to the process.
'Leopold's nobles have been buying all kinds of projects all over the kingdom which instead of bolstering the economy has drowned it further. Those pigs take the larger share while leaving us with scraps.'
"Those damned humans!" He cursed beneath his breathe as he tried to recollect his demeanor. He went back to the hall that he was in which was packed with his family.
Goblins usually had a high libido thus it wasn't a shock that he had four wives, nine sons and fourteen daughters which were either freeloading off the family name or were engaging in acts of intimacy with each other.
Acts of incest wasn't something new in this world however it was frowned upon by humans however other races didn't seem to have a problem with it. As he sat on his throne, his vision became more and more hazy.
'Something's definitely wrong.' Before he could voice out his comment...
*Thud*
His figure crashed onto the floor. "Dear? Are you okay?" One of his wives asked as she tried to cast a probing spell on his body to determine what the problem was.
"He's probably tired. Stressing out from the burden of the decline of the kingdom." His second wife added on with indifference. "What? His mana disc core seems to be deteriorating!"
The first wife commented which raised brows in the room. Such a phenomenon was common when one was corrupted with demonic mana however none of them could sense any form of mana in the air.
*Thud*
A few more bodies fell to the ground and in a matter of minutes, the entire room was dead quiet. Such a similar occurrence was observed all over the streets of Miragestia and similar to a graveyard, the entire kingdom was encumbered by a strange silence.
*Four Hours Later*
Numerous hazy shadows could be seen pour all over on the outskirts of Miragestia. "So what is the plan here, General Kellan?" A commander of his asked as they looked over Miragestia.
"In all my years, I never thought I'd say this but we walk right through the front doors of the enemy lines." He chuckled as the Cromwood beneath his feet seemed spent.
They all were thus he hoped off as he turned around to face his men. Some of them were close allies while others, he viewed them as brothers. "My brothers, today Sablestone takes over Miragestia however after we are all done, our existence will be considered dead to the people of Sablestone!"
Most of them looked at him in wonder, some in shock while others thought that he had lost it. "What are you talking about?" His commander voiced.
"After we are done, we will be subjected to an alias that the outside world will never come to know. Your loved ones have already been informed about your deaths and soon everyone will know that we perished in battle."
"What?!" Some of them spoke. "I just had a child! I was suppose to be a father!" Beneath their masks, expressions of defiance loomed as they heard this.
If they came to die at the battlefield, then they would have been commemorated as Spartans who came to pass away in battle however if they enacted what they were hearing, then what would be the purpose of their lives.
"You're asking us to abandon our lives just to become puppets for that bitch!?" A voice sparked which resulted with unrest shortly after. Kellan gave a slight smile beneath his mask.
"Do you really think that there will be any deviance with what her majesty has planned?! What she says is final and if you have to waste the rest of your pathetic lives as her pawns then it will come to pass!"
The squadron fell silent as they heard this. From the demeanor to the wording, something about Kellan didn't feel quite right. He was a man of equality and always strived to find the best amicable solution.
Never leaving his soldiers behind, treating them like his own brothers to which they adored but never took for granted. The very same person was also the same who was now telling them to lay their lives as tools for the queen.
"Are you okay, Kellan?" His commander posed to which a deadly calm engulfed the scene. No one dared to breath too heavily. "Regal, my close friend. You see all of you died the moment you embarked on this quest."
Kellan spoke abruptly before the sound of his chilling laughter reigned through the air. "Hahahahahahaha!!!!" Some of them started to back of due to fear as they could feel Kellan slowly release his own pressure.
"What has come over you?!" Regal asked as he tried to cautiously make his way over to Kellan who was laughing away like a mad man. Kellan grabbed the mask on his face before pulling it off him.
*Rip*
Regal was appalled as he say the scene in front of him. The sounds of flesh ripping could be heard and in front of him was Kellan however his entire face was bleeding. His lips were ripped partially along with his facial muscles exposing bits of his bones beneath the veil of flesh.
His left eye was stuck to the mask as blood flowed endlessly out of his socket. Bits of his skin seemed bruised and charred due to the ripping while his right eye was a thin crimson lying trailing off it.
Kellan fell on his knees as he looked at Regal, he was no longer laughing but rather, it seemed as if he was crying blood. Regal was horrified as he walked back only to hear a similar sound.
"Hahahahahaha!!!!!!" The laughter of the damned was it to him as he heard his fellow soldiers cackling in such a manner. Blood could be seen coming from their suits however their laughter persisted.
Determined to escape the hellish ordeal that he had found himself in however hos legs refused to obey his mind.
*Crack*
He could feel his legs crumble as he felt a sharp pain in his head. It was equivalent to having a drill being shoved into his skull, his body was no longer heeding his mind and just like that, the only sound that came from his lips wasn't a cry for help, it was maddening laughter.
"Hahahahahahah!!!!
