Luna shook the vial she was holding. The thick green liquid in it sloshed back and forth, leaving a slimy film on the sides of the vial in its wake. Her face crinkled in disgust, her nose wrinkling up as if she had smelled something foul, which she hadn't because the stopper was still in the vial.
This looks utterly disgusting. Do I really want to drink this?
That small vial contained the potion she made, the one that supposedly alleviates the effects of beguiling. Did she even need this potion? It wasn't like Adam was a Merman; well, the chances of him being a Merman were very low. The only thing she suffered from was a bad case of first love syndrome, not a random case of beguiling.
Who was she kidding? She even went to all that trouble to concoct the stupid potion. Drinking it would cause her no harm, despite its appearance. And she couldn't dismiss the reaction her gut had when she had read the Merfolk section in the Magical Creatures book. Her gut was rarely ever wrong.
