"Did you hear?" a woman asked in a whisper to the man next to her. "She's finally coming to a conference," the woman told the man next to her. "Who?" asked the man confused. "The only Alpha who has refused to step foot in the conference since being appointed" the man's mate and Luna told him. "You don't mean…" "the defier of gods," the First woman told him. "No…" he said. "Are you sure? Why after all this time?" he asked. "No one knows," his Luna told him. "Won't it be interesting to finally meet the girl behind all the rumors?" she added.
Suddenly the room fell silent as the doors to the ballroom where all the Alphas, Lunas, Lunes, and Betas as well as their families gathered. "Now Entering, Seraiya Mason, Alpha of the The Grey Moon Pack" The Announcer shouted as she entered, just as he did for everyone else.
Seraiya wore a long-sleeved, off-the-shoulder, v-neck, dress Dark green in color. It was tight around her slim body and showed off her figure perfectly. Her hair was now mostly black with just blonde ends, and her makeup though strange to herself and those who knew her fit her face perfectly.
She almost looked like a villain straight out of a novel.
3 years had passed since Alvera was killed by Seraiya and in that time a lot had changed. Aaron for starters had named Seraiya as the heir to his pack if he had no children by the time he died. When the news was brought to Seraiya she wasted no time packing up and going back to England.
Over the next 3 years, Seraiya grew the
Sigris pack into the most formidable in the entire United Kingdom. Though already being the largest pack in Eastern Europe helped as well. She made a lot of beneficial changes to the pack and eventually changed the name from Sigris to Grey Moon in honor of Aaron who was already intending to change his pack's name to Grey Moon.
"Seraiya" an older gentleman called out to Seraiya happily. "What an Honor it is to finally have you here with all the alphas of the United Kingdom," he said "and even some from America I believe" he whispered under his breath.
"Alpha Jonathan, it's been quite some time," Seraiya said with a smile as she shook his hand. "I must say it's quite a surprise that you've decided to join us after all this time, it seems just by you walking in you have intimated the other alphas" the man chuckled.
"What can I say I've been a busy person over the last few years," Seraiya told him. "Well of course," said the alpha.
"I hope you don't mind me interrupting," a familiar voice said from behind Seraiya. "Of course not," said the alpha as Seraiya turned around. "Kyra, how have you been?" Seraiya asked. "Quite well," Kyra said simply. "Alpha Jonathan you won't mind if I steal her away from you for a few moments would you!" Kyra asked. "Of course not?" He told Kyra before walking away.
"It's been quite some time seraiya," Kyra said. "Yes, it has," Seraiya said as a waiter passed by with a tray of wine. Seraiya grabbed a glass off the tray and quickly took a sip. "I believe the last time we saw each other I threw you through a barrier of your creation" Seraiya added. "I believe that's how I remember it as well" Kyra replied.
"Alright, enough with the pleasantries why are you here Kyra?" Seraiya asked getting straight to the point. "Other than the fact I was invited," Kyra said as she leaned against a tall circle table that was next to her. "A lot of people worry about you," Kyra told her. "Then why don't they call?" Seraiya asked. "They do" Kyra answered. "It's you who doesn't answer" she added. "I come here every 6 months to try and see you without anyone in your family knowing yet this is the first time I've seen you here," Kyra told her. "This is the first one I've been to," Seraiya told her as she took another sip of her wine.
"How's Zack?" Seraiya asked. "You can ask him when he gets here," Kyra told her. "He was running a bit behind but he should be here any minute now," Kyra told her.
Seraiya has a slight nod. "He knows I can't come back right?" Seraiya asked Kyra as she looked into her eyes with a pitiful look. "He does" Kyra answered. "He knows your an alpha and as an alpha, you must stay with your pack" Kyra added.
Seraiya was silent. "You know when I heard Aaron made you his heir I was quite surprised you went along with it, after all, you didn't seem like the type to want to be an alpha," Kyra said simply as she took a sip of her wine. "I didn't," Seraiya said honestly "but it's what Aaron would have wanted and I owed it to him" she added. "I mean he chose me for a reason right?" Seraiya questioned. "You were like a daughter to him," Kyra told her. Suddenly the door to the ballroom opened again. This time a scent filled her nose.
It was a familiar and almost addicting scent. It was the scent of pine mixed with what almost seemed like pumpkin. Her inner wolf suddenly went crazy. "Are you alright?" Kyra asked. Ignoring Kyra seraiya turned to the door where she saw 2 handsome men. One with red hair and blue eyes. And the other with black hair and green eyes.
Her inner wolf went even more crazy all of a sudden. M She knew what this was. It was the thing every wolf longed for the thing every wolf expected. Seraiyas heart began to beat faster As she couldn't believe who was walking towards her. But which one was it? She couldn't tell from the distance. But that wasn't what surprised her. It was always in her mind that her mate would be a woman, not a man. But one of them wasn't just any man. No. One of the two men was the one who grew up with her the one who stayed by her side through thick and thin. "My mate," Seraiya said as Zack and the other mysterious man now stood in front of her.
