Chapter 5 - Let's have fun ch-3

Hiruzen POV

Today was a fine day in Konoha. The weather was so nice that even my grandson Konohamaru called me grandpa. He has such a cute face, so innocent, without the worry of war and politics. Then why, just why, am I sitting in front of the village elders and Danzō? The three of them are eating my brain.

Why must I be the acting Hokage? I just want to take a break from all this, spend time playing catch with my grandson, or relax my old bones in a hot spring.

After hearing the endless complaints from the elders, Danzō and I were tired (you can guess the meeting topic was the four-year-old Jinchūriki). I seriously don't understand what the two of them want sometimes.

Hiruzen: "I wish there were no more headaches today."

But suddenly, an Anbu Captain entered my office (God, no), followed by a knock on the door.

Hiruzen: "Come in."

I said with a hard voice. My two former students, Jiraiya and Tsunade, entered. The Anbu Captain handed me Scroll Number 666 (Shit, oh hell no, not this one). Tsunade, Shizune, and Jiraiya looked at me. I showed them the scroll number.

Jiraiya then proceeded to tell me about his progress on the scroll and the recent news of an entire forest appearing. The mighty village of Uzumaki had suddenly vanished into the storm. Now, only huge waves and whirlpools, and some of its remains, could be found near the shore, which had risen from the deep sea and looked like a dense forest. Tsunade froze as she remembered the contents of the mission.

Well, that's good news for me. She is more than capable of handling the case, and with Jiraiya, this might be just an A-grade mission. Not wasting a second, I threw the scroll toward the two Sannin and told them to check things thoroughly. Well, one less headache for me. (Your sacrifice will not be wasted, my dear students).

Tsunade POV

Well, I wanted to meet the master after a long time and check on his health, but instead, I got the worst mission in history—one that everyone in the village wanted to avoid taking up. The mission stated there was no child, land or anything in that area. But the worst part is, if the content of the scroll is true, then it is a high-priority mission for the entire village. Well, Jiraiya and Shizune are having fun. I also want to sometimes see the divine beauty of said child.

We reached the area and found an old cottage. (Wait, there is a cottage here, almost 20 km away from any known civilisation.)

I looked at Jiraiya angrily as he was telling tales of his journey in search of Orochimaru. He looked at the cottage and then at me for a few seconds.

Jiraiya: "I swear there was no cottage at least a few days ago. I checked this area for potential hiding places for Orochimaru."

Shizune: "So it is a trap. But it is so stupid to place it here."

[Ciel: Who are you calling stupid? Ranga, come to me.

Author: Someone is going to be a new toy for Ranga.]

Jiraiya POV

For a very odd reason, I entered the cottage and found a very old lady (maybe at death's door). She asked me for tea as she expected me to be there. Suddenly, three cups appeared in front of me. Tsunade and Shizune also entered the cottage. They looked at me in shock, then followed me and sat in front of the old grandma.

Old Lady: "So, do you like dogs/wolves?"

Tsunade: "Who are you, grandma, and what are you doing here in this place?"

Old Lady: "Hmm! Well, this old one is acting as a guide for the forest. So, do you like dogs/wolves?"

Shizune: "Well, I do like wolves, especially if it's a puppy, since I like kids a lot."

Old Lady: "Tell me, why are you here, child."

Tsunade (looked at Jiraiya): "We are here to find some child of prophecy inside the forest." Hearing this, the OldLady laughed at us and said, "So, you want the same as others: A child to sacrifice itself to protect your village from a threat?"

Tsunade, getting angry at the thought of sacrificing an innocent child to protect the Hidden Leaf, found it unacceptable. Her grandfather and grand-uncle had sacrificed themselves to create a place where children didn't need to die at a very young age.

Tsunade: "No, we don't want that child for that. We want to save that kid from its future. That is what Lord Second wanted when he created Mission 666: to save that child and the Uzumaki from hell as a goodwill gesture."

Suddenly, she and the others realized that they had spoken about their mission to a stranger, which was definitely a trap set by other villages. But why did they make such a rookie mistake? Before they realized it, they got transported to the middle of a dense forest where the centre was a big, hollow tree.

The three slowly entered the hollow tree trunk and found a small child who was around four years old with long silver hair and deep golden eyes that gave off an otherworldly divine beauty, with an illegally cute smile and a slim, female body structure, wearing a white backless shirt with black pants and a golden belt.

He had a black cap with wolf fur on his back. If we didn't know the child was going to be male, all three of us would have confused him for female. Then, we noticed a small puppy behind us as it tackled Jiraiya and knocked him out, then proceeded to use some type of lightning attack and knocked both me and Shizune and me out.

[Ciel with a smug face: That's my boy, Ranga. Who is the good boy? Ranga is a good boy.

The author is jealous of Ciel as he wants to fluff Ranga too.]

A few hours later

Jiraiya POV

After waking up from the sudden shock of being hit in the head by a small, lightning-fast puppy, I realized we were sleeping in the fur of a giant wolf (It is almost the size of the Nine-Tails). I saw Tsunade and Shizune sleeping peacefully inside the fluffy fur of an old wolf.

[Author crying because he wants Ranga: Yup, almost the size of a palm, Ranga is lightning fast, i.e., 270,000 mph to 670,000 mph.]

Old Wolf: "Are you awake, my dear child?" (Is that me, or does she sound like an old lady?) "If you are thinking, 'Am I the old lady from before?' then yes, it's me."

Soon, both Shizune and Tsunade woke up and were shocked to see a giant wolf as she explained the reasoning behind why the young one attacked us. (The pup wanted to play.) She continued to explain that she couldn't take care of the kids anymore and wanted us to take them to a more secure place. (Well, good for us).

We asked some questions about the location of the Land of Whirlpool and where she found the child. She only said it was her secret. After saying goodbye to her, we fell asleep and found ourselves outside the village, the Hidden Leaf.

Tsunade: "what the fu*k is going on here?"

Shizune: "so cute!" (while cudeling rimuru and ranga)

Jiraiya: "Did we ? we didn't? what the"

Rimuru POV

Now I have my Ranga with me. He looks so cute. He has small paws and a lot of fur. I am currently four years old (Ciel told me to do it).

Well, things are fun for me, as Ciel and I have secured a proper foster home. She had fun by becoming an old lady, and Ranga made fun of these legendary shinobi.

Well, now I am pumped to see their old teacher. On a side note, Lady Shizune is so kind; she made food for me and even did my hair, though Ciel was jealous of her as she loves playing with my hair.

Shizune: "Okay, so what is your name?"

Rimuru acting like a kid: "My name is Rimuru Uzumaki." (Continued with his innocent smile, which can melt anyone's heart).

[FUN FACT: A possible origin for Rimuru's name can be found in Japanese wordplay. The three characters making up Rimuru (リ, ム, & ル) are all represented by the number six in Goroawase. Thus, if you use Goroawase on Rimuru, you get the number of the beast 666.]

Ciel: {{Overkill confirmed.}}

Rimuru: {Yes! Three people secured, let's proceed with the others.}

[Overkill, if you ask me.]

In between the journey, Lady Shizune healed Jiraiya's injuries because he wanted to fight with Ranga fair and square, and Ranga broke his eight ribs. I found her ability quite interesting. I also found out Tsunade has a big slug named Katsuyu. And I became friends with Lady Katsuyu; she had a nice aroma around her. .

<>.

[Some weird Rimuru being slime reasons. Don't ask me.]

We finally reached the Hidden Leaf Village. Jiraiya dragged me immediately to the Hokage's office to report. He started to report to an old man who was losing hair (and just wanted to die in peace).

Upon hearing the report, he looked at me, and I gave him one of the best innocent, cute loli smiles. (Now die in peace, Grandpa.)

It was finally decided that I would live with Shizune and Tsunade for the time being, outside the village,e to protect me from Danzō or other village elders and return to the village at the age of 12 to become a shinobi with Hokage permission (may attend school for fun). To become a proper shinobi, Tsunade will train me. She also told this grandpa that she is planning to teach me all her medical ninjutsu.

Ciel: "This old man is the Hokage of the village."

Rimuru: "Wait, I thought he was super strong, not some dying old man in his late 70's."

Ciel: "Master, his name is Hiruzen Sarutobi. When he was young, in his prime, he was called the God of Shinobi and The Professor because of his knowledge and mastery over all five Chakra Natures. However, he is the weakest Hokage up to now. Even Lord Fourth was stronger than him, though he died at age 24 in order to seal Kurama inside his child."

Rimuru: "Cool, can't wait to see that kid's powers in the future."

Ciel: "As expected, you have sensed that child will change the world, though its effect might be interesting to see."

Time Skip

3rd POV

Rimuru has finally become 12 years old. During the time skip, he learned to speak and other ethics properly like a human being (well, he did live in a forest with a wolf). After some days, he started training in hand-to-hand combat from Shizune, along with cooking, cleaning, and taking care of Tsunade (she still has drinking and gambling habits). Finally, he started to learn medical ninjutsu along with all the basic (up to B grade) ninjutsu of Tsunade in the last two years.
