Chapter 414: The Annihilation of the Clear Sky Sect
The Clear Sky Sect, once the number one sect in the world, held unparalleled strength and status in the soul master world.
Their ancestors had included a Rank 99 Peerless Douluo, someone even Qian Daoliu, the Grand Priest of the Spirit Hall, deeply feared. That was precisely why, even after the incident between Tang Hao and Qian Xunji, the Clear Sky Sect's people had survived.
Yet today, this colossal sect was once again challenged—and the one doing it was none other than Tang Hao's own son.
"Tang San, what are you doing?!"
Seeing their Seventh Elder fall so easily, everyone in the Clear Sky Sect was utterly shocked.
This was not the same as the past.
Back then, only the two brothers Tang Hao and Tang Xiao were Title Douluo. Now, the sect had five more.
Though aged, these five possessed considerable combat strength. Each of them had the Clear Sky Hammer as their martial soul, and they were supported by the secret techniques passed down by Tang Chen.
"What am I doing?"
Hei Qi narrowed his eyes and replied calmly, "Isn't it obvious? I'm here for your lives."
"Insolent!"
Hearing such arrogant words, the crowd could no longer contain themselves. One by one, they released their soul rings and martial souls.
"Seventh Soul Skill—Clear Sky Avatar!"
The Second Elder struck first without hesitation, unleashing his seventh soul skill right away.
"Ants."
Hei Qi didn't even bother looking. He simply raised his right hand and easily blocked the attack.
"What?!"
Witnessing this, everyone was once again stunned.
They couldn't have been mistaken—Tang San was barely in his early twenties. For someone that young to possess such terrifying power was beyond belief. He wasn't even like Kong, who was a once-in-a-millennium genius.
Tang Xiao stared at the unfamiliar Tang San, his heart filled with confusion and unease. He couldn't understand why this young man possessed such strength, and more so, why he harbored such hostility toward the Clear Sky Sect.
"Tang San, what is the meaning of this?" Tang Xiao asked in a low voice, his eyes glinting with wariness.
This level of power was simply too strong. Even he himself couldn't deal with the Second Elder's Clear Sky Avatar so effortlessly.
Hei Qi let out a cold chuckle and gave no answer. His gaze swept over everyone present as though looking at a group of insects.
"Tang San, I shall lend you my power. You'll handle the rest of this battle."
With that, Hei Qi relinquished control of the body and handed it back to Tang San.
"Isn't it obvious?"
Regaining control of his body and sensing the power still surging within him, Tang San sneered, "I've come today to devour all of you—to gain immense strength. And for what happened to my father back then… you insects must pay with your lives!"
He didn't even know exactly what his father had done to be cast out by the sect, but in his heart, no matter what, the fault lay with these people. If it weren't for them, he would've been the Clear Sky Sect's Young Master. With twin martial souls and access to the sect's resources, he would never have fallen behind Kong.
Hearing Tang San's words, everyone present was enraged. Never before had anyone dared to look down on them like this—especially not on their own territory.
The remaining four elders wore particularly dark expressions.
"Arrogant!" the Second Elder roared and launched another attack. His surging soul power condensed into a massive pillar of light that shot toward Tang San.
Tang San smiled faintly. With a light wave of his hand, he effortlessly neutralized the light pillar. His figure vanished like a phantom and reappeared behind the Second Elder.
Bang! With a muffled sound, the Second Elder was struck by a palm and sent flying, crashing heavily to the ground.
No wonder he was the first living being born at the origin of the universe—such power was truly overwhelming, truly something to aspire to.
"This... how is this possible?!" Everyone present stood frozen, unable to believe their eyes. The strength of this young man was utterly beyond imagination.
Tang Xiao also felt a chill in his heart. As he watched the black aura emanating from Tang San's body, a flash of fear crossed his eyes. He knew that compared to this young man, his own strength was insignificant—like heaven and earth apart.
"Tang San, what exactly do you want?" Tang Xiao narrowed his eyes, his tone grave and heavy.
Tang San sneered coldly and did not answer. His gaze swept across everyone present, as if he were looking at a flock of lambs waiting for slaughter.
"Isn't it obvious?"
Tang San's face remained calm as he said, "Today, I will wipe the Clear Sky Sect off the face of this world, and make you all the stepping stones for my revenge!"
As soon as he finished speaking, his figure vanished from where he stood. In the next instant, he appeared atop the Clear Sky Sect's grand hall. Pressing his palms together, a powerful energy began to gather between his hands.
It was the Desolate Devour Art!
"This is…" Tang Xiao's eyes widened in horror as he stared at the energy in Tang San's hands. He knew full well that this force could annihilate the entire Clear Sky Sect.
"No!" Tang Xiao shouted, trying to charge forward to stop Tang San. But his speed was no match for Tang San's. With a mere wave of his hand, Tang San sent him flying.
Boom! With a deafening crash, Tang Xiao's body slammed into a distant mountainside and fell unconscious.
Tang San paid him no mind. He continued channeling energy into his palms, his eyes glowing with intense black mist, as if he intended to swallow the entire world.
"Desolate Devour Art—Open!" Tang San roared, and endless streams of black aura surged into the sky, forming a massive formation that enveloped the skies above the Clear Sky Sect.
Before this ancient and mighty formation, no one could escape the fate of being devoured.
Had Hei Qi cast it at full power himself, not just soul masters—even God Kings would not be able to escape its pull.
Everyone present stared in horror at the black formation overhead.
They wanted to flee, but the oppressive force released by the law was simply too strong.
"Tang San, may you die a miserable death!"
Realizing there was no escape, the remaining elders roared in fury, venting all the unwillingness in their hearts.
"Whether I die or not, I don't know. But you—definitely won't survive."
With that, the entire formation descended with overwhelming power.
A deafening crash followed, and every single person from the Clear Sky Sect was reduced to pure energy and absorbed into Tang San's body.
It was at that moment that Tang San's spirit power reached Rank 95.
