"You will be sent to the legend of korra universe as the only son of lin beifong, you will obtain a stand when you arrive. It will be a new stand and not one from any of Araki's works, you are a lava bender named JoJo aged 15 at the start, you are half water tribe and half earth nation and your water tribe father isn't in your life but not dead, and you wished for the abilty to travel dimensions, is all of this information correct" said the heavenly voice happy to grant me my wishes.
"Yes, thank you" I had no clue what sign of repect I should give her for this great boon so I went down to one knee
"you do not have to kneel to me" I raised to my feet just in time to dissappear into a heavenly golden ash.
I didn't have no system only a stand and lava bending and the stand could have been shitty. Also he had to die for the show to stay roughly the same. I felt coldness, I felt a lack of oxygen. My brain forced a yawn which drew in a large breath. That cut in my bodys flow of oxygen was unbothersome as I quickly regained properly functioning thoughts
The sun shined on my eyes blinding me, I raised my hand to block the sun shining into my, grey eyes? The color might have changed. I leaned forward loooking around it seemed to be my bedroom then a wave a memories hit me. It was of this body's life, after few minutes it was over I still had a headache from the overflow of information I wish a yawn could cure this ailment.
I attenpted to manifest my Stand but it didn't beckon to my summon
If I was in a life or death situation then my stand would probably come under my complete control, right?
Based on my memories lin would wake me up the take me to the a boot camp for the police metal benders.
Just like how toph groomed lin to be the next police chief I'm being molded to be the next police chief. For my age I was considered to be a really strong metal bender thats for my age though any officer would have me beat but my specialty is lava bending.
Younger 'me' had accidentally learned it by watching a water bender's movements' at the central bender park. If I recall correctly this was one of few moments Lin had ever openly shown a display of true affection and pride towards me.
A stern voice bounded up from a lower floor "get up, and get ready your coming with me, apprentice" the last line seemed to roll of their tounge, the voice had a masculine feel but was still effeminate, amd of course I recognized it as Lin's though the in person experience of hearing it was much different.
There were rare occasions like this one were someone under the age of 18 could apprentice someone in the police force usually it had to be cleared by a superior but I am unsure of how this apprenticeship was cleared because lin is the top dog.
"What are you doing up there, hurry up"
She banged her hand against the wall, it was something she often did. I slid off my pajama pants and shirt and slid into some clothes 'i' had laid out last night.
Slightly baggy black pants, a tighter black long-sleeved shirt with a wide green stripe the ran up from my hip bone and to my neck where it descended down my back, there was something like a green beret sitting on a desk. There was another wrapping onnthe wall, I quickly shoved it onto my head.
I neared the door but then I rembered something, my brain was still adjusting to the new gears so to say. I grabbed this old leather bag, it was a side bag like a purse before purses were purses as we know them today. I opened the door and hustled down the stairs, I stopped right before lin. She leaned against the wall eyeing me
She wore an Armour of black metal plates lined with gold, a simple pulley system ran from her back to her wrists.
"Listen to me and listen clea, your gonna follow me around, your not going to talk to anyone unprompted, just sot and watch, is that understood" lin didn't care to make any form of emote while in her dialogue.
She lean forward and headed towards the door so I followed. She opened it before heading down a few wooden steps and towards a metalic Grey jeep with no top covering besides a windshield.
Lin ever so slightly flicked her wrist and a brass key rolled out of her armored sleeve and it was perfectly grasped in her dextorous hand.
She calmly opened the front door and jumped up into the velvet colored seat. I walked around to the other and followed suit.
As I sat down I made sure my side bag was nestled against my thigh. The engine roared before settling into a deep hum, lin started driving.
My hair streamed in the wind like a blazon banner. Lin was a very proficient driver, she took the turns well and there weren't many pot-holes. I suppose it was from the number of cars on the road, cars must be very expensive.
It wasn't long before we crusied into the surrounding ghettos of Republic city, maybe they were suburbs just bad ones. Well that was kinda what ghettos were.
We continued driving through the city, we were stopped at a croos roads near the heart of the city. Skyscrapers towered over us, a whistle blew and the dam of cars burst out.
We turned right and the Republic City police station rolled into veiw. It was massive, hundreds of feet across with statues thrice the size of a grown man littered about on the steps, they were of Toph and Aang a few were of men I don't recognize neither did the previous owner of this body.
Lin slowed the car down ever so slightly but continued straight until she was right before the police department, she turned left into a small parking lot then another left into a garage or perhaps a workshop.
The workshop went deeper into the buildings they wrapped around a block where three elevators and their innards were, pipes leaking water and billowing steam were laid out on the roof of it, right above the head of hardworking men and women.
We both hopped out and headed for the elevator. There was a boxe next to each elevator, one a silver grey and the other was a red no doubt for emergencies.
Lin gracefully pressed the grey button, it was only a few seconds before a bell rung and a the right most elevator opened.
We wandered into it, luckily it was empty, I don't enjoy people.
Lin pressed another button, this one was labeled '8th'. As the gears started wiring the elevator moved, it was quite bland elevator music hadn't been invented yet and lin wasn't much of a talker.
Lin was a favorite of mine when I watched the show, I could relate with a damn brat of a sister. A smile of superiority crept onto my lips, I nearly laughed but I stopped myself.
The elevator dinged once more and the doors creaked open we both stepped out, lin started walking so I followed like a dog.
She pulled out another key from her metal sleeve, she quickly unlocked the door and hid the key once more. Lin walked into the room the door swaying behind her, its topp had a panel of a gritty glass that blurred everything behind it. I walked into her room, she had already found her seat, a large almost throne like chair with a green back-rest surrounded by gilded steel.
Leaning against the left wall was a bookshelf and next to said bookshelf was a simple chair. Not even an armrest. I quickly scanned the rest of the room realizing that was my only option.
I accepted my fate and sat down, I took off my side bag and let it lay against one of the chairs' leg's.
----------
We loaded up on an airship and then flew over the avatar. I hadn't gotten my cables yet so I could only watch as lin and her subordinates wrapped the avatar and her polar dog in metallic cables. The airship flew back to the police headquarters with the avatar and her pet being brought aboard.
They were put in a call on the airship then were taken to and intergation room. I was in the rooms with a notepad taking notes as berated the avatar "multiable counts of privite and city property damage, not to mention evading arrest, your in a whole lot of trouble"
She slammed the clipboard that held all of the avatar crimes on the table right next to the avatar who had a slight shake. Korra gestured her hands and explained but their range of movements were limited by the chains "but, but there was some thugs threatening a helpless shopkeeper-"
"Can It, maybe you should have told the police" lin said while grabbing the clipboard and walking around the table like she did the entire time. "But it's my duty to help people, ya see I'm the avatar" korra pleaded and then lin replied "I know exactly who you are, your title might impress some people but Not me"
Lin sat down across from korra and I leaned against the wall scribbling down notes about interagation tactics and stuff like that. Then korra said like a whiny hoe that don't know her place "I wanna talk to the person in charge" "Your looking at her, I'm chief beifong" lin said crossing her arms and legs
This was just like watching the show but I got glances occasionally which made it a bit unnerving. "Wait your beifongs daughter" korra said like that would get her any where
"What of it" lin said shrugging. Korra said like her words mean something "Why are you treating me like a criminal, avatar Aang and your mom were friends, they saved the world together"
"So, that's ancient history and it's got diddly squat with the mess your in right now, you can't just waltz on in here and go vigilante all over the place" lin said leaning forward to look down on korra. "Chief, councilman tenzin is here" said Jhordan through a glass panel.
"let him in" lin said in a depressed manner, lin got up and turned to the door to meet tenzin. "Tenzin sorry I got a little side tracked on my way to see you" korra said still trying to move her hands in the restraints, "lin looking radiant as usual" councilman tenzin said and lin replied "cut the garbage tenzin, why is the avatar in republic city, I thought you were supposed to be moving down to the south pole to teach her"
"My relocation has been delayed, the avatar on the other hand will be moved back down to the south pole, if you would be so kind as to drop the charges on avatar korra I will take full responsibility for her recent actions and cover all the damages" tenzin said in a calm mannered voice and somehow in one breath, must be some airbender crap. Lin looked behind her and at the pouting avatar.
"Uhh, fine get her outta my city" lin said in hushed tone so the avatar wouldn't hear her. "Let's go korra" tenzin said and lin metal bended off the cuffs. As korra walked out lin put her pointer and pinky finger to each of her eyes and korra did the same.
We soon left the room and lin put the papers previously on the clipboard into a folder labeled 'avatar korra' they only had records for people who had committed crimes other wise it would have been a doozy to identify all of the same names. This world needs last names.
Republic city had a lot of repeat offenders, they should look into that. We proceeded through the remainder of the day in her office checking records and such. Then we went back home.
