Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Magic World

Yuki sat at one of the desks stationed in the club room.

"My name is Avery, and today, we will be talking about cultivation," Avery said softly.

"System status," He murmured quietly.

[Primordial System]

[Name: Yuki Asura]

[Lifespan: 14 / 42]

[Race: Mortal]

[Cultivation: None]

[Cultivation Potential: Extremely bad]

[Current World: Earth]

Yuki found a keyword called 'status' in the System. Apparently, it brings up the System panel. He was currently looking at the panel where it said 'World' and 'Cultivation.'

He wondered if traveling to another world would make him a cultivator.

What is a cultivator, you may ask?

"Cultivation is the process of improving health, increasing longevity, and growing more powerful. This is accomplished by cultivating Qi and training in martial & mystical arts. Qi is the foundation for all cultivators and is a vital energy as a whole. In many cases, the levels of cultivation are divided into early, middle, late, and peak stages, with each stage having nine levels. Advancing to specific levels can give physical or spiritual benefits to a cultivator. For example, getting to the second level of the early stage realm could grant them a reinforced body or enhanced sight." Avery explained.

In many stories, the ultimate goal of cultivation is to attain the dao and immortality.

Immortality was self-explantory but the dao was different

The concept of dao represents the ultimate truth and the path to enlightenment. It is said that one can only achieve this state of enlightenment by gaining a deep understanding of the laws and order of the world. By cultivating oneself and attaining a state of unity with the world, a person can experience life in a completely different manner, with a greater sense of clarity and purpose.

However, Yuki didn't want only immortality but also longevity. His wish was to become the strongest while having eternal youth and lifespan. If he could live for more than a million years, he would probably be the strongest in the cosmos, or so he thought.

"I have a question; why are we talking about Chinese meditation instead of something cool like ghosts or superpowers?" one of the boys inquired.

Avery wasn't stumped by this question and replied kindly, "This is supposed to expand our knowledge of the supernatural!"

Yuki murmured almost inaudibly, "So who would win, cultivators or people with superpowers?" His voice was barely audible, but Avery caught it and was quick to respond, "That's a great question! I've always been curious about the answer." The rest of the class seemed unaware of this exchange, preoccupied with their own thoughts and discussions.

"It would really depend on the person's cultivation level, but I would still choose cultivators!" Avery sat down and said.

"I know for one that Superman could beat any lousy cultivator!"

"That doesn't change the fact that Batman still won.."

Numerous discussions were taking place. However, the ones that stood out the most were the fantastical ideas brought up by Avery.

"If you would rather have superpowers or cultivation, which one would you choose, Yuki?

"I might choose.. both," Yuki nonchalantly said.

"How greedy of you!" Avery sighed remarkably.

Several Icons in the System panel were still locked. Of course, they were! Why wouldn't they be?! If life was as soft as lemons, then his story would be squeezed out of its ending!

Yuki thought for a while and said,

"It looks like you know alot about cultivation, do you mind sharing how a cultivator cultivates?"

This was one of the things Yuki had wanted to know - how to cultivate.

"I don't exactly know how to cultivate, but I think its through a certain style of meditation."

"A certain style of meditation, I see"

It was a long school day, and after the club meeting was over, Yuki returned home.

As he sat on his bed, he couldn't help but ponder over the intricacies of meditation and how it worked. Yuki had made numerous attempts to master it, experimenting with different techniques such as timed breathing, relaxing his muscles, and adjusting his posture, but none of them seemed to have worked so far.

Yuki said as he exhaled with an upright demeanor. "If only I could go on an adventure,"

[Would you like to travel to another world?]

A new panel showed an icon that resembled the Earth, plus some other planets that looked like Neptune and Jupiter. Yuki was very excited by this turn of events and said,

"Can I actually travel between worlds?!"

[Yes]

As he stood in his room, he noticed that the space around him was beginning to distort and twist in a strange and unsettling way. It was as if some powerful and otherworldly force was at work, slowly tearing a hole in the fabric of reality itself. The air grew thick with a sense of foreboding, and he could feel his heart pounding in his chest as he watched in awe at the strange phenomenon unfolding before him.

He pressed the 'Yes' button immediately.

Yuki felt a sudden shift in the world around him. It was as if the entire room had flipped upside down and then back again, leaving him feeling both disoriented and exhilarated at the same time. Despite the initial sense of confusion, Yuki couldn't help but feel a sense of fascination with the strange and magical process that had just occurred. And as he sat there, taking it all in, he couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction at having gotten exactly what he had hoped for.

However, fate had other plans for Yuki.

As space-time warped for him, he was transported to a large platform.

If pigs could fly he could too, though in this case he would be dead without any acrobatic movements.

"Oh my god, am I playing football?!"

As he gazed into the distance, a sudden burst of flames caught his attention. The flames were shaped like a cross and raced towards him at breakneck speed. A moment later, he found himself staring at a magician draped in black robes, who unleashed a fierce lightning storm aimed directly at his side of the field. Meanwhile, another magician stood nearby, surrounded by countless orbs of light, as if preparing to unleash another powerful spell. The air crackled with magic as he found himself encircled on all sides by the potent sorcery of the magicians. The air was permeated with smoke and combustive rubble, having spread everywhere.

"Stop the fight!" declared the referee, using a magical barrier to prevent the two magicians from casting spells.
