"Now that you've introduced yourself, I shall fulfill my own side of the agreement" said the consciousness in a tone filled with reminiscence.
"True, I am from this world" said the consciousness pausing again. But yuki knew not to interrupt him as he could see his face of longing, he knew he was going through his memories. Perhaps, for a long time he had never thought of the past or he just decided to ignore it and seal it off from his life just like someone he knew.
"Just like I said I am you, you are me, we're one and none." Yuki rampaged through his mind trying to deduce an interpretation from the consciousness words but the consciousness just ignored him and continued with his story.
"My given name is Faunus and my surname is Linwood, Faunus Linwood. I was birthed by two spirit, nymphs to be exact. I also had a sister, she was older than me. But I never got to spend time with my family. The day I was born the…don't worry now is not the time for you to know" said the consciousness, Faunus without emotions as if he was narrating someone else's history. If not for the look of reminiscence and longing on his face, yuki would have thought he was lying and just making things up. But still he needed to hear more, he wanted, no, he needed to know his past.
Yuki immediately became frustrated "Didn't we just have an agreement? Why do you decide to go back on your words. It's not even long after. I for one would never do that" shouted the furious yuki, he thought he could finally know his origin but still he failed at the last moment.
"You can't understand" said Faunus still with his emotionless tone. "How do you know I won't be able to understand without revealing any details, are you so much of a coward, a pussy? Are you sure we're the same because I would never do that." shouted yuki.
"Silence" Faunus immediately roared, with his furious roar the whole lake rose with furious waves before calming down. "What do you know? You who just lived for not up to a century dare to question me. We may be the same but I'm the original not a copy derived from our consciousness." Said Faunus who was now furious, since his soul was split up and now weak, he couldn't control his emotions well.
"Do you know how much emotions I have to bear with my now fragile soul? While you just have to enjoy your life. Just because you faced troubles in your love life, you decided on suicide?
When did you become a p*ssy? When did I become a coward? When did we have to fear and think about our action's consequences? Something we both want, did we ever give up? Answer me" shouted the consciousness again repeating the same process of rising and falling for the lake.
Yuki didn't reply and just continued staring ahead as if there was something very fascinating ahead, something so beautiful his focus could not be interrupted by the consciousness' furious shouts". Faunus just snorted and started calming his raging emotions.
"You called me a coward when you are the coward. I told you you're not ready to know about our past but you became furious, emotional.
Imagine, a person who couldn't face his memories and sealed it away, even though it was just a few years, something like minutes to an immortal like me." Said faunus without minding the fact he revealed he was an immortal. "You abandoned your memories just like a soldier who abandoned his base, his country. Just a few years and you gave up. What made you think you're ready to face my millennia of memories? Hmm, answer me." Said Faunus with calm emotions.
"You think you're ready to know our past? Since this is what you decided, I won't stop you" hearing this yuki didn't feel relieved at all, he knew it couldn't be that easy to make faunus agree and he was right for the words he said after made him pale.
"I will show you our past memories bit by bit in section just like the amount of life you lived on earth. But first you'll have to face your own past, the one you try so much to ignore." Said faunus, yuki immediately disagreed but before he could voice it out, he found his vision fading and he knew it was about to begin. It was time for him to face his heart demon and perhaps end it once and for all.
