Ryukushu emerged from the pile of rubble with a furious expression. He walked towards the angel in the air. Gripping onto the handle of his blade.
This fight was getting to him. Flashbacks of his battle with Kazuki at the gorge replayed in his mind, jumping to the scene where he fell off the cliff and met his demise. All because these people refused to look up to him as the great leader that he was for his clan.
"You're taking this a bit too far." The demon spoke.
"How so?" Douma retorted.
"I don't have a problem with that actually but I'm not sure if you realize what this means for you with regards to your fate."
The large sword touched the air and lit up in dark swirling energy. "Genzuknowa." His eyes started glowing and the armored plates on his shoulders and kneecaps transformed into sharp jagged shapes similar to thorns.
His teeth increased in size, the two larger ones on each end of his upper and lower gums appearing to be the most noticeable and at the same time intimidating.
Douma felt a numb feeling in his legs and chest which brought him lower to the ground. He exhaled slowly, trying not to put too much pressure on his ribs.
The fear he felt had returned. Just when he thought it wouldn't strike again since he got over it throughout the battle, it pounced at him at the worst timing. But Douma wasn't surprised by this move of Ryukushu's terror on his opponents, the samurai was turning into a more threatening version of himself. This was the actual Ryukushu that his victims saw, cold and out for blood. Theirs on his sword.
"Genkakuna Jiritsu-sei Style Two: Tamashī no naka ni aru kyōfu!" Besides summoning the purple aftershocks and malevolent entities, numerous dark beams appeared in the air and struck the hallway floor, creeping closer to Douma who crouched down while fighting off the fear and doubts running in his head.
The ground exploded in front of Douma, sending him backwards against the cracked wall. Rocks and debris from the higher part of the wall fell down on him. Ryukushu walked over to the angel, scraping his sword against the floor as a warning.
"I find it incredulous that you thought you could defeat me. I'll admit you displayed some impressive skills during the span of our battle but they won't save you from what I'm about to do next." Ryukushu pointed his sword at Douma, the tip of his blade in close proximity to his nose.
The demon's eyes turned to slits when nothing came out of Douma's mouth, he knew the angel was struck with fear.
"You're trying to hide from me aren't you? That's why you stayed up there." Douma looked up the ceiling when Ryukushu said that.
"No I'm not. I was just trying to-"
That was just an excuse. He was afraid. Now that Ryukushu had transformed into this inevitable twisted version of himself, there was no way he could defend his words. The blonde gulped and looked up at the samurai with a petrified expression. Sweat beading down his forehead.
"Aren't you foolish. Thinking you can stay up there and throw some fireworks show just to scare me. Your opponent will decipher that trick of yours. I've seen it happen all the time and I never gave these kinds of buffoons the privilege to stay alive during the battle. They're not worthy."
Douma got up and threw a slab at the demon. It broke into pieces when it hit Ryukushu's helmet but the decision of the blonde's made him angry enough.
Raising his sword, Ryukushu thrusted the large weapon into the ground sending statics of dark energy swooping to Douma who hopped on the walls and ran away from the attacks. He flew above Ryukushu and fired a large radiating air slash in his direction.
The demon glanced at the large slash and decimated it with one of his dark lasers. The entities that were summoned earlier surrounded him, munching down on the clouds of frost that Douma fired at him.
This is going to take a while, no a long time. This guy will stop at nothing to get those weapons. I have to find a way to trap him somehow. The three weapons need to be moved to a place where he can't get to them. Holding his golden fan tightly, Douma shot the demon a glare.
But we don't even know where they are. This place is literally a maze.
Suddenly the marking on Ryukushu's neck started flickering. The samurai tensed and clutched the spot.
He let out a growl and bent his arms in a disoriented position. Walls emitting a dark and red glow encircled the samurai as he yelled whilst surrounding himself with this power that he or most likely that mark awakened.
Douma knew what this formation was, the same power that Chaos gave Ryukushu was coming to life again. Except this time, the severity of his attacks were going to be worse than the encounter at Twin Island. Ryukushu current power from his new form had mixed with this abundant power that he got from Chaos which proved to be severe enough from the disaster that occurred on Twin Island. This was underground, the last place to have something like this happening.
"It knows when I'm ready for more power so it gives it to me." Ryukushu roared.
The entities were sliced up by Douma's golden fans. He paused when Ryukushu started levitating to the ceiling. The samurai was mad about him staying close to it, now he's doing the same thing. Douma gave him a look of disapproval.
"Kamisori no mure." Ryukushu rotated his sword that was practically a turbine now. His attack blew everything away including the heaviest objects lying around in this hallway.
The blonde used the remaining glaciers in the air to cover him and repel the oncoming sparks and aftershocks from the ceiling.
A pair of footsteps ahead of the blonde began stomping in his direction. He immediately knew who was coming towards him and it wasn't good.
Vascalidon clenched his jaw and wiped the dust off his skin. "Ready for another round?" His voice threatening.
Great this guy is back. Douma got into a fighting stance.
The large beast snatched two of the purple streaks passing by and devoured them. A long spike emerged from each of his shoulders. Glowing purple with static running down the edge.
Vascalidon sprang up and fired his gravity beams infused with Ryukushu's dark energy. The blonde rolled away and hopped over the magnetic waves.
"Let's add a different flavor to the mix." Curling his fingers into balls of fists, Vascalidon forced his eyes shut and contorted his forehead. The veins around his head popped up indicating that the demon was putting a lot of pressure on himself.
Douma heard a soft siren that started as a low ringing sound to a loud screeching noise reaching a high intensity in the hallway.
"Yikes." The blonde ran down the narrow hallway and jumped onto Vascalidon's back, startling him when he saw Douma standing on his shoulder.
"Kaleido Ascension Style: Searing Skies!" Raising his golden fan, Douma leaped up and struck the back of Vascalidon's neck.
The pressure was starting to build up in Vascalidon's veins, he couldn't control this power surging to his mind. Overwhelming him, the demon was about to lose control from the strike of that golden fan.
"Orbit Genesis!"
A strong magnetic force erupted in another part of the mountain from underground. The tremors in the ground were worse than before; The violent shaking of the ground went on for a few minutes.
At the same time, the gravitational force rose to the sky and struck the ring in the center causing more cracks to appear within the radius. Jeremiah panicked when he saw the impact of this sudden attack.
Crowds of people started running for their lives. Jeremiah continued repelling the remaining monsters away with his power. He was making progress with his efforts to seal these cracks but it'll take a while for them to disappear entirely. This wasn't some ordinary opening, the entry to this dimension had been forced open.
Ryukushu watched the battle between Douma and Vascalidon unfold. I shall take my leave from here. The three weapons aren't going to walk themselves here. Enjoy the battle while it lasts.
Vascalidon tore down the walls. He glimpsed at the samurai who walked over to the door in the room that was located at the end of the hallway and smirked when he opened it and left.
That sound of a door swinging, Douma knew that was bad news. But the large beast in front of him was insistent on taking him down. The angel couldn't forfeit from this battle he had to defeat this demon too.
"What's wrong? Feeling lost?" The giant beast towering over him sneered.
Douma's eyes turned to slits the minute he heard this demon speak again. The blonde's iridescent gaze flickered to the stalagmites on the ceiling while Vascalidon was talking.
"Ryukushu's on his way to get those weapons and there's nothing you can do about it anymore. This battle is over." Vascalidon slammed his fist on the ground. The cracks following after Douma who leaped up and set his foot on one of the stalagmites closest to the room.
The angel was about to prepare another attack that would land another hit on Vascalidon's neck when the demon suddenly froze and clenched his fists.
"This is the last straw."
Douma watched the demon straining his arms. Vascalidon grit his teeth as his body shook and his muscles tensed from the pressure he was putting himself in.
The ceiling started collapsing again. Douma jumped off the stalagmite he stood on which fell from the trembling ceiling and broke into pieces on the floor.
He landed on the floor of the room which had several picture frames and scrolls on the table beside the door. There were ancient maps, paintings, and clay sculptures aligned in a single row on the large table against the wall on the right.
Vascalidon yelled and raced towards the angel. He lifted his legs off the ground, peering his hawk-like gaze at his opponent like a bird closing in on its prey.
The gravitational force within the demon's body made his limbs shrivel and distort in their positions. His arms and legs squeezed themselves against his torso, the pull from the effects of gravity forming this forcefield around him sank them further into his weight.
He was accelerating towards the angel and shrinking at the same time but not by a margin. Douma felt the pressurizing magnetism emitting off this forcefield surrounding the demon.
Getting his fans ready, Douma stayed still, keeping himself steady. He flickered his eyes to the table at the corner and noticed something that stood out to him from the dimly lit space.
"That should do the trick." Quickly, Douma glided to the corner and grabbed the jar containing a scroll which was an old map. The angel opened the glass jar and took out the scroll, placing it on the table. He rushed back to the entrance of the room where Vascalidon was closing in on him and faced the opening of the jar at the demon diving towards him.
"Arghhhhh!" Vascalidon screamed when he saw the glass jar but he couldn't divert his way around it. The veins on his forehead popped as he panicked, Douma could see the change in his expression. The demon was about to get stuffed in a glass jar.
In a blur, the demon dived into the glass jar, the intensity of the gravitational force vanishing. Douma quickly sealed the lid tightly and stared at Vascalidon who was cramped in its interior with a smirk. "Should I just leave you here? Nah I've got a better idea."
Douma threw the glass jar into the air and disintegrated it with his iridescent ray.
"One down... another one to go..." The angel rushed to the door at the end of the room and pushed it open.
There were numerous mirrors scattered all over this dark room. The reflections displayed were abnormal, it was almost as though they weren't regular mirrors.
Given the place he was in, it made sense to have these weird mirrors in place. Those who broke in would lose their way. The reflections were confusing, with a few of the mirrors displaying reflections that made it seem like the angel was walking towards another part of the room when he wasn't. It was just the reflection.
And then he saw the familiar bloodthirsty samurai, finding his next destination; The three weapons definitely weren't in here but the mirrors were present in this room to keep him away from the next entry point.
"Look who we have here." Douma watched the demon glance up to see the angel standing on the flight of stairs. He was shocked but that expression wore off when he held his sword firmly.
Ryukushu was impressed, he wasn't expecting Douma to defeat a powerful demon like Vascalidon that easily. Perhaps he should've given the angel more respect than he thought, there was no denying Douma was in fact an honorable opponent he had fought since his battle with Kazuki at the gorge years ago.
"So you defeated Vascalidon. I must say, you're an impressive opponent. At the same time you decided to chase after me when you could've fled." The samurai remarked.
"I'm not a coward like you Ryukushu. I'd never leave a battle but you certainly did. What happened to the rightful ruler of the world? Leaders don't flee, they stand their ground and fight for their people." Douma retorted, taking out his golden fans. "How do you expect people to look up to you when disappearing from a battle is your forte. I'd have my doubts."
"Sometimes you just have to leave a battle hanging. It's over anyway, those three weapons are mine!" Ryukushu's voice boomed across the room, shattering a few mirrors in close proximity as he charged at Douma with his sword facing the angel.
"Kaleido Ascension Style: Searing Skies!" Douma's golden fans lit up a radiating gold and collided with Ryukushu's sword. Dark energy swiveled up the tip of the large blade and blasted the angel towards one of the mirrors behind him.
Stepping onto the surface of the mirror's shattered glass, Douma pushed himself forward and fired two of his ice sickles at Ryukushu.
One of them struck the demon's face, creating an icy numbness in his skin. Ryukushu growled and unleashed three dark beams at Douma to slow down his movements.
The angel saw the oncoming dark beams in the reflections and flew back. His wings created a divergence that sent the dark beams crashing into the walls of the large room.
A dark cloud appeared in front of him. The towering figure of Ryukushu stepped forward and swung his weapon at the angel.
Maybe there's still a chance. Douma took out his golden staff and blocked Ryukushu's sword.
"What's this? You've decided to use that rusty weapon against me? How delusional." The demon retracted his sword and hopped backwards.
Ryukushu was about to add on to his statement when he saw the hesitation in the angel's kaleidoscopic orbs.
Douma glanced at the staff in his hands. Now's not the time yet. He kept the golden staff and thought about its power that he still needed to get a grip on before he decides to use it. The staff's power came with severe consequences that he didn't want to impose on anyone. They wouldn't be able to handle it, which isn't fair. He might as well halt its position in this fight for now though he was about to unleash its power during his first fight with Ryukushu. But things didn't go the way he thought they would.
So he wasn't going to let that happen again. Nevermind if the staff was going to lay dormant as long as Douma defeats this demon.
"What exactly is going on in your head? I've never seen anyone so indecisive when it comes to their own artillery. You've got a lot to learn."
Ryukushu brought his sword forward.
"My staff is not rusty. It's worth more than your entire life!" Douma swiped his golden fan at Ryukushu and kicked him in the chest.
He ran down another path and spotted the demon closing in on him from the reflection of the mirror beside him. The angel sprang up and ducked down behind another mirror, the sound of glass shattering erupted in the dark room.
The heavy footsteps of Ryukushu's intensified the pounding in Douma's ears. He watched the demon's movements from behind the mirror. Hoping that he won't decide to start breaking them although that was inevitable.
Ryukushu's feet crushed the glass shards on the floor. For a moment, the heavy footsteps drew closer until they stopped and moved on to the opposite direction. Douma shifted away from the back of the mirror slightly and quickly tiptoed across the room, narrowly avoiding the glass shards scattered on the floor.
The only source of light was the refraction from the mirrors so he had to be extremely cautious.
The samurai gazed upon the five mirrors surrounding him in this part of the room. He froze in his place when he saw how oddly-shaped his appearance looked in the mirror diagonal to him. The one beside it made him seem small while the other two mirrors displayed a portion of the ceiling, each representing the other half. Both reflections forming an identical image of the ceiling when aligned together in view.
Douma sat behind the mirror closest to the wall. He covered his mouth with the golden fan in his hand, exhaling softly. He was getting uncomfortable having to think of a way to strike Ryukushu without the demon detecting his movements from afar. His transformation made the situation a lot unsettling than it'd normally be. A larger and more threatening Ryukushu with those sharp teeth and jagged protruding out of his armor was a nightmare to deal with. His perception of things can lead to an aggressive decision on his behalf. One that involved his large sword and a corpse.
The samurai stopped in his tracks and looked around him.
Shifting closer to the right where Ryukushu wouldn't be able to spot him if he were to move abruptly, Douma remained still in his place.
Ryukushu shut his eyes for a while, revitalizing the senses he prioritized during the battles of the previous century to scan through the entire room. He knew the angel was hiding somewhere and watching him from afar.
He slowly opened his glowing eyes and stared into space for a while.
"Kamisori no mure!" He fired a dark beam at the mirror where Douma was hiding.
The angel widened his eyes and sprang away from the shattered mirrors. He raced around the room, dodging every single beam fired by the demon.
"This fighting spirit I attained from my battles sharpens your senses." Ryukushu flitted his eyes to the corner where Douma happened to be standing at. "One of the key aspects in diligent swordsmanship"
A vile grin appeared on the demon's face. "Perhaps I could add those golden fans of yours to my collection after I get a hold of the three gladiators' weapons." Ryukushu sneered.
Douma winced, he got into a fighting stance when Ryukushu strode closer to him.
The approaching Ryukushu pointed his sword at Douma that had a dark static concentrated on the sharp blade.
"Every swordsman knows when it's time to finish the job. We'll never spare our foes."
The angel took out another weapon attached to the side of his waist. Lifting a brow, Ryukushu was surprised to see that particular weapon in his possession. Douma decided to keep it with him since their first battle even though he was never profound in this fighting style.
Douma drew out his sword, the very same one that Ryukushu had. The sword gained a rejuvenated sense of purpose after its redemption. No longer a reminiscent of the dark times it endured.
While the sword in Ryukushu's grip was its former bloodstained counterpart. Back in the demon's hands after the Chaos gave him a second chance to carry out his merciless takeover of civilization. Which marks a significant contrast between the two blades.
"Then let me show you how a true swordsman fights." Douma said sternly, facing his sword at Ryukushu who stifled a laugh.
"You think you can exceed my skills? That sword of yours will break into two the minute you try to land a hit on my armor." The demon drew closer. "Don't make me laugh. You amateur."
Ryukushu rushed towards Douma and swung his larger sword at him. The angel instantly blocked the incoming blade with his sword. The collision between both weapons creating a friction that pushed the demon and angel backwards.
But more so Douma because of the weight of Ryukushu's sword and this malevolent power that gave the samurai the advantage when it came to situations where he was kept in place. Once the swords slid off each other, Douma backed away and leaped into the air when the demon was about to throw another attack from above.
Another wave of dark energy struck him. The samurai's glowing eyes made Douma feel anxious about his decision to use this weapon against him. The katanas clashed with each other every so often and the angel found himself backing away whenever Ryukushu was summoning charades of dark energy.
"If I were you I'd just stick to Tessenjutsu and leave that poor sword of yours to rot." Ryukushu pushed Douma to the corner with his weapon.
The angel staggered back. Sweat dripping down his forehead from the relentless trials that his blade was put through.
He narrowed his eyes at Ryukushu who took a few steps towards him, dragging his sword along the floor.
When Ryukushu's grin widened, he instinctively tilted his head after sensing an unprecedented force swipe past him.
That sword. He's still not backing down. If he understood what it means to wield a blade to its full potential then its hidden power will be drawn out. The demon's glowing eyes turned to slits at the thought of ever witnessing this hidden power that got his attention.
"Freezing Clouds!" The glacial storm swept across the room, shattering the mirrors and sending a few of them to the walls and ceiling.
Ryukushu rubbed his left eye that twitched from the cold shocks in the atmosphere. He grunted when he heard footsteps trotting within the mist.
A wall of dark beams and static encircled the demon. The entities and shockwaves from Ryukushu's shield dispersed the clouds of frost floating nearby.
The last cloud to perish being the one that Douma just hopped over to strike Ryukushu. Now that his closest cover was gone, the demon spotted him and flicked the blonde away with his hand.
Ryukushu rushed towards Douma and thrusted his sword into the side of the blonde's torso.
Clutching the spot where Ryukushu removed his blade, Douma stared at the weapon in shock. He coughed up blood and gasped at the crimson liquid dripping off the tip of Ryukushu's blade.
The pain concentrated in his waist held him back from firming his grip on his sword lying next to him on the floor. Ryukushu didn't bother to acknowledge its presence, he didn't find the sword's capabilities appealing to him in any way.
It was inferior to its former counterpart that held a dark past. A discretion like that would be able to keep up with Ryukushu and his plans.
"You fumble your movements. That sword of yours is always wobbly and you can't even deflect my attacks even though my directions have given you the cue to brace yourself." Ryukushu sounded disappointment but behind that tone, Douma knew he had been looking forward to belittling him.
Douma watched the samurai's footsteps inch closer to him. He forced his hand to grab his sword in defense.
Letting out a low rumble in his throat, Ryukushu raised his sword up and brought it down with a heavy pressure.
When the demon's large weapon was inches from the ground, Douma stood up and soared into the air. The angel then vanished.
"He disappeared again. Are you trying to play another game of hide and seek here?" Ryukushu growled.
The demon briskly walked along the path towards another flight of stairs in the dark room. He glanced at every mirror on both sides to find the blonde. Then he looked up at the ceiling, confident that Douma was silently hovering above him, but he was nowhere to be seen.
Clinging onto one of the few mirrors hanging on the ceiling, Douma watched Ryukushu looking around to find him. He kept his sword and peered below him in silence. The demon heightened his senses when he thought about the possibility of Douma sneaking up on him every time he took a step. It didn't scare the demon, but he needed to be on high alert to be able to finish the battle without having to deal with another one of the angel's games.
Ryukushu came to a stop and stared at the last three mirrors in front of the stairs, meticulously keeping an eye on the mirror in the center.
The blonde held his golden fan tightly slowly moving away from the mirror on the ceiling.
"It's impossible to hide from a skilled swordsman's peripheral vision. Our senses don't backfire on us nor do they lie."
Ryukushu was about to awaken the full capabilities of his senses again like earlier when he suddenly glanced to the mirror in the center and saw Douma leaping away from him in the ceiling. The blonde's back facing the samurai while hurrying down.
"There's no escape-"
Douma struck the back of Ryukushu's neck sending him falling to the floor. It turns out, the reflection had tricked him. The blonde had used this mirror's elusive feature to his advantage.
"Your reign of terror is over Ryukushu. All those people who suffered under your leadership are free from the burden you've subjected them to for decades; Pushing your own shortfalls onto innocent people when they were simply living their lives in harmony with each other. Even now, you're still trying to take that away from people." The golden fan in the angel's grip hovered close to Ryukushu's body. Getting ready to shove the demon back to the ground should he try to retaliate.
"And you still refuse to acknowledge your mistakes. You're full of wrongdoings Ryukushu. You've tainted the art of swordsmanship. Its founders have every right not to forgive you. To think this battle would lean in your favor oh how wrong you were. A leader never subjects his people to a life of pain and agony."
Douma could only see filth lying on the floor in front of him. During his time as Paradise Shrine's leader, he never treated his followers and the visitors who came to the shrine as subjugated nuisances who were going to burden him. Although there were those who tried to kill him a few times, he never had the thought of dissecting them.
The actions of Ryukushu left him feeling bitter about the humans who were given the responsibility to watch over society but chose to abuse that power. Even as an entity that was given superior powers, he'd never lay a finger on anyone. You're supposed to protect others with those powers, not the other way around.
Those who appreciated Douma's presence in the Hasu Mountains felt the security and respect that were present in the shrine. Mr Hanekame, Reiji, Yoru and his family, were always there for Paradise Shrine, because of the encouragement from Douma's gratitude and guidance to a prosperous life shared among the people of the Hasu Mountains.
Ryukushu let out a deep laugh.
The angel widened his eyes in shock.
Dark flames rose from the ground engulfing Ryukushu's limp body that sank into the surface and turned into an abysmal trail that disappeared instantly.
Widening his eyes anxiously, Douma looked up to see Ryukushu rising from the ground in front of a door well-hidden within the dark walls of the large room. The angel had overlooked on the door that was right there. He didn't notice its presence in that corner.
The first half of Ryukushu's body appeared to be unscathed no injuries or signs of his body deteriorating. None of this made any sense, the demon was lying on the ground like a wreck just a second ago.
Before Douma could speak, Ryukushu appeared in front of the door and smiled.
"Looks like I got to the finish line thanks to my copy. In fact I already saw the door since we started playing our little game of hide and seek. The portions of this globe will be divided into empires. The three gladiators will each have an empire of their own and so will I."
Gasping from the pain in his torso, Douma strode away from his spot but the tears in his flesh slowed him down. He crouched down and clutched the side of his waist, demanding his body to just let him keep moving.
The angel couldn't believe what he was hearing. Ryukushu had cloned himself during the battle.
Ryukushu stood there, enjoying seeing Douma suffer while he gets the weapons like a prize. His body and mind had a great bond with his powers. Coming together to escort him all the way here. There was nothing to worry about. His powers and entities will take care of everything.
"Everything you were blabbering to me about is no different from what my enemies told me a long time ago. If you want to make an impact that badly why don't you try to be creative with your speech? That's how a revelation starts doesn't it? There needs to be an ounce of significance in the effects destined to spread the words." Ryukushu walked closer to the door.
The demon took one last glance at Douma before swinging the door open and walking into the other room. The door closed behind him, leaving Douma surrounded by the mirrors in the dark.
I gotta stop him! Douma rushed to the door the adrenaline surging through him as he quickened his pace.
When he got to the door, Douma stood upright and reached for the knob. The pain in his torso intensified when he stretched his arm causing him to clutch the side of his waist again. This pain was insufferable. His regeneration has to catch up fast.
It doesn't matter how severe Ryukushu's power was, the rate of his regeneration must not be affected. Not at a time like this.
"The portions of this globe will be divided into empires. The three gladiators will each have an empire of their own and so will I." Ryukushu's words rang in his head again and it left him petrified. If the demon walks out of this building with the three gladiators' weapons the outcome won't be good for humanity. Those three gladiators had no intention of uniting society together in sustainable conditions, that's for sure. Ryukushu saw something in them, traits that would uplift his rule in the pecking order.
The entrance to the other room exploded. Emerging from the smoke was Ryukushu with three floating objects above him surrounded by purple static and dark matter.
Douma stared at the three floating objects above Ryukushu's head in horror. There was a dagger, a sword, and a three-pointed trident.
The three gladiators' weapons were now in Ryukushu's possession.
"Don't even try to intervene with my plans this time." Ryukushu said sternly, he raised his sword to the ceiling and struck it with a dark beam that came out of it.
The demon sprang out of the opening he created in the ceiling and landed on the grass outside the building. Douma followed after him ignoring the aching pain in the side of his waist that screamed at him to stop moving around.
Once Ryukushu saw the figure of Douma jumping out of the opening, he fired a dark beam at the angel who immediately fired a large radiating air slash at the incoming attack.
Douma landed a few meters from where Ryukushu was standing.
"Still hopeful I see? Well then, try getting by this!" The demon raised his sword again.
Dark streaks rose to the surface of the ground and bolted ahead. The ground started shaking violently again with each movement of the aftershocks trailing along the grass and soil of the unstable mountain.
"Genkakuna Jiritsu-sei Style Two: Tamashī no naka ni aru kyōfu!" Ryukushu swung the dark waves of energy forward. Because of the boost of strength and power he got from both his transformation and the Chaos, on the trembling mountain, it brought about dire consequences.
Including the sudden rising fear Douma felt. There was something about seeing the dark matter unleashed by Ryukushu in broad daylight that made it appear more intimidating than evading it in a dark and dimly lit room.
Not to mention the pressure he felt after seeing the crack in the sky that had turned into a ring in the center. The radius of the ring about to shatter any minute from now.
Ryukushu observed the scene carefully. He knew Douma was starting to find himself stuck to the ground. How unfortunate for the blonde, he was so confident about the outcome of this battle. Despite Ryukushu putting a stop to it since he got these three weapons floating above him. There's nothing to fight for anymore.
Suddenly both Douma and Ryukushu heard a bird's cry in the sky. A swift figure came soaring down towards Ryukushu at high speed.
The angel recognized that large bird. It was Jeremiah.
Ryukushu spun around and saw Jeremiah closing in on him. The bird which appeared to be a mix of a swan and peacock had a luminescent green lighting covering its body. He found it difficult to keep his eyes open it was overwhelmingly bright.
"What's this?"
The large celestial bird flew into the area where Ryukushu stood a single swipe of his wings caused an explosion to go off, obstructing the dark matter trailing ahead at the same time.
Smoke covered the mountain's peak. Douma looked up and saw Jeremiah flying in the opposite direction, focusing on the smoke cloud where Ryukushu would emerge and prepare another attack in retaliation.
"Watch out Jeremiah, he's got the three gladiators' weapons." Douma pointed out to the swan in the sky.
"The weapons are guarded by those forcefields holding them. He's not gonna put them in the frontlines either. If he does it's his loss." Jeremiah soared closer to the mountain's peak.
