"We have to warn Aurora," Liam whispered, wincing from his injuries. "If what Dante said is true about the Serpent rising..."
Becca nodded, her broken wrist throbbing with pain. "But how? She's miles away at the mountain."

"Run!" she shouted to them. "Find Alpha Asher's scouts! Go!"
Behind her, Dante's form twisted unnaturally, scales consuming what remained of his human appearance. His laughter cut through the storm, chilling Becca to her core.
