Aurora's scream died in her throat as the world exploded around her. The sanctuary walls shattered, showering them with stone and dust. Through the chaos, a massive silver wolf burst in, teeth bared and eyes blazing with fury.

He slammed into Dylan, sending the traitor flying across the room. The bloody claw Dylan had shown—a fake, meant to break Aurora's spirit.
"Get away from them!" Elias roared, his voice half-human, half-wolf.
Cora hissed, backing away as crimson snakes swirled protectively around her feet. "This changes nothing, nephew. The ritual will happen tonight."
Tina grabbed Aurora's arm, pulling her toward a new opening in the wall where Lucas and three other pack members waited.
"Run!" Elias commanded, circling to keep himself between the women and Cora.
