Aurora slowly opened her eyes. Darkness surrounded her, but a faint silver glow illuminated the rocky walls of what appeared to be an underground cave. Her body ached from the fall, but miraculously, nothing seemed broken.
"Hello?" she called out, her voice echoing in the cavern.
"You're awake." The voice came from the shadows, soft but commanding.
Aurora tensed, ready to fight despite her weakness. A figure stepped into the silver light—an elderly woman with striking white hair that cascaded down her back. But what caught Aurora's attention were her eyes—glowing silver, just like the ones she'd seen before passing out.
"Who are you?" Aurora asked, struggling to sit up.
"Someone who's been watching you for a long time, child." The woman knelt beside her. "My name is Selena."
Aurora gasped. "Like my mother?"
"Your mother was named after me." Selena smiled sadly. "I am her aunt—your great-aunt. And like you, I am one of the last Silver wolves."
