The entire chamber became silent as Salvador's fingers remained against the ancient lock.
The golden glow beneath his hand slowly spread across the surface of the chest, tracing delicate patterns that had been invisible moments before.
A crown appeared.
Then a lily.
Then three smaller symbols beneath them.
Ella stepped closer, her eyes fixed on the glowing markings.
"What are those?"
Marcus looked at them carefully.
"The symbols of the royal bloodline."
Salvador frowned.
"Why are there three?"
Marcus did not answer immediately.
The king stepped forward.
"Marcus."
The old guardian looked at him.
"What are you hiding?"
Marcus sighed.
"I am not hiding anything. I am waiting for the right person to open the chest."
Salvador looked at his father.
