The ancient door remained open behind them, but none of the four gave it another glance.
Their attention was fixed on the forgotten room.
The silence within it felt different now.
It no longer carried the loneliness of an abandoned place.

Salvador slowly walked away from the cradle, his fingertips brushing lightly across its polished edge one last time before moving deeper into the room. Every step awakened another unfamiliar familiarity inside him. He could not explain it. His mind insisted he had never been there before, yet his heart refused to believe it.
Ella followed quietly beside him.
She noticed the way his eyes wandered from object to object, lingering just a little longer on certain pieces of furniture.
"What is it?" she asked softly, watching his face.
Salvador smiled faintly before shaking his head.
"I don't know."
