Frieren placed the instruments on the table and pulled a chair closer to Strax. The researcher seemed particularly interested in the golden inscriptions that had appeared on his arm, although he didn't share her enthusiasm.
"Before we begin, I need to establish a few rules," Frieren remarked, examining the previous records.
Strax raised an eyebrow.
"More rules? I thought we'd already finished the part where you all ripped off my limbs."
"First, you won't use the gauntlet's devouring ability. Second, you won't attempt to manipulate the divine energy directly. Third, if you feel any pain, tell me immediately," Frieren explained, positioning three small crystals around his arm.
Strax nodded.
"Understood, doctor."
"And no hiding symptoms because you think you can endure them."
He looked at her.
"You know me very well."
"Unfortunately," Frieren replied, activating the instruments.
