Chapter 940 - CH921 Threat???

"So, you have only mastered one so far?" Haru asked, looking back at her.

"Yes, my Lord." Celestia smiled, her hand still resting warmly in his, "But my Law of Light is already close. Soon, I will surpass my old self in every conceivable way."

Haru grinned, deciding not to mention that he was still holding her hand. The warmth was pleasant, the power was intoxicating, and for the first time since arriving on the Endless Continent, he felt truly untouchable.

…

The central square of the Great Aetherium's capital was a sprawling expanse of white stone that seemed to glow under the fading light of the 'twin suns'.

Haru and Celestia walked side by side, their fingers interlaced in a quiet, firm grip. The plaza was unusually empty; Nova, the Creation Angel, had just finished the day's grueling task of manifesting a new God Level Angel Reincarnation Pool and had retreated to her residence to meditate.

Normally, Nova would have been overseeing the siege of the Light Empire's Imperial Capital millions of kilometers away, but with Amelie leading the charge, the front lines were secure.

Haru and Celestia remained behind, their Divine Senses so vast they could monitor the distant battlefield in an instant, ready to descend like a wrathful heaven if anything went sideways.

Haru looked down at their joined hands, feeling a wave of surrealism wash over him. Just two months ago, he was a Tier Zero mortal, a "Castle Lord" from another world struggling for survival. Now, he stood at the peak of this Endless Continent as the Master of Angel Race's Faith, and the woman beside him, his believer, was the strongest being in the known universe.

Their relationship had transitioned from the rigid hierarchy of Ruler and Steward into something far more intimate. It was a partnership of souls. For Celestia, this was the fulfillment of a long-held, secret longing. To stand as a companion to the Lord, alongside figures like Lysandra and Mary, was an honor she had anticipated since her first breath in the Endless Continent.

Though the gesture had started as a slight misunderstanding on Haru's part, neither was in a hurry to let go. They walked in silence for a long time, the weight of their combined authority pressing gently against the air of the capital.

…

As the last rays of the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky turned a bruised violet. Celestia stopped, her eighteen wings shivering slightly. She turned to Haru, her beautiful, crystalline eyes reflecting an uncharacteristic trace of anxiety.

"Lord." She said softly, her voice carrying a weight that chilled the air, "I have a premonition. Despite our current strength, despite having fourteen Supreme Gods, nearly two million Gods, and the absolute loyalty of the Angel Legions, I sense a catastrophe lurking in the coming war."

Haru's grip on her hand tightened, "Danger? Celestia, you are a Pseudo God Queen. Let alone the Titan Pantheon, even the entire Truth Faction wouldn't dare challenge us openly. Who is left to threaten the Great Aetherium?"

"The Abyss." Celestia replied, her gaze lifting to the pale, crimson orb of the Blood Moon hanging in the sky, "Now that I have ascended, my instincts are tied to the planet's Laws. The danger isn't coming from the Endless Continent. It is radiating from that moon. The Abyss is not what we believed it to be. They aren't just a collection of twelve Demon Monarchs and an Emperor. There is a presence there... something ancient and suffocating that threatens even me."

Haru's expression grew grim as he shared the intelligence provided by the Elf Goddess Isabelle, "The Demon Emperor isn't even a demon, Celestia. He is an Ancient Titan God who defected from the Throneveil Shrine eons ago."

Celestia's eyes widened in realization, "That explains the sense of crisis. A living relic of the Shrine will have collected trump cards that the modern Titans can't even imagine. If the Abyss has hidden Pseudo God Monarch Tier level helpers or artifacts from that era, I cannot guarantee a swift victory alone."

"Then we change the pace." Haru declared, "The Endless Continent's Laws turned to the Castle Lords because the local Gods are insufficient. We are the 'blessing' meant to break the Abyss. If one Pseudo God Monarch isn't enough, we will create a second one. If even that's not enough, we will create a dozen more."
