After a few days Jason woke up finding him self in his room. His entire chest was bandaged and aching.
He tried to move but found he was unable to. Looking on his left arm he found a mop of long brown hair laying by his bed side using his hand as a pillow. If it were anyone else they would have been more than happy to find a beautiful woman by their side. Unfortunately this wasn't the case for him. He hated this woman with a passion.
While some may see her for how attractive she is, with her long brown hair, delicate light and flawless skin, her nice and curvy body, her brown eyes, and her soft pink lips. He saw something else. The true side of her that every one else was blind to. He could not deny the fact that she was beautiful, but he just didn't she her in a romantic way.
With a groan of annoyance he forcefully pulled his hand from under her head, adding a bit more force than necessary. As soon as he moved his hand she slowly began to open her eyes. With a yawn she looked to see him staring at her with that cold gaze he always stared at her with.
"Your awake!" She shouted jumping on top of him and hugging him.
"Anita please get off of me." He said pushing her off. The girl now known as anita gazed at him with a strange look in her eyes. Some would associate this look with love, but it was far from that, the look she had was lust. Ever since he had met her all those years ago she had looked at him that way.
"Why are you here?" He asked getting out of bed. "You shouldn't move you got hurt really bad. After you got back your father went to meet you and find out what happened but you just suddenly past out. When he looked closer he say the hole in your chest. They said if it had been even a inch closer to your left side it would have gotten to your heart." She said, sounding scared and worried.
"When did I ask what happened to me? It happened to me, I experienced it first hand, I know what happened. What I asked you was why are you here." Jason said walking up to her. The height difference made it so she had to look up at him.
"I was ordered to stay by your side by your father. He said that I was to make sure that you were ok and no one tried anything. You know, due to the revolt and all." She answered looking directly in his eyes and pressing her self on him.
"I see." He said pushing her off of him harshly. "I'm growing tired of me telling you to stop touching me and to stay away." He said walking out of the room leaving her to look at his retreating figure.
"Soon my love, soon you'll be mine." She said the lust in her eyes growing as it changed to a more wild look.
Walking out of the room something came back to him.
"Why did so many hunters show up when they did?"
"It should have just those at the camp." " And why was that vampire there?"
"It didn't look as if she knew we'd be there, so what happened?" He wondered.
After walking for a minute he arrived at a flight of stairs leading down to what seemed to be a basement. Walking down the stairs he came face to face with a medium sized door. Upon entering the room his eyes met with another pair. On closer inspection it was revealed to be the eyes of a man chained to the wall. Judging by his dirty appearance and filthy odor he was there for long time.
The man's eyes widened for a second when he saw jason. For a moment he looked like he had seen a ghost. Seeing this reaction jason had part of the answer he was seeking. But wanted to make sure it wasn't just a suspicion. He wanted to hear it from this man's mouth.
Walking to stand directly in front him jason looked right into his eyes. The man eyes was filled with nothing but pure and utter fear. Jason's however was filled with anger. He gained the look of a predator ready to play with his prey.
"You said that the camp was only supposed to have a few hunters right. But after we got their I realized something. Not the fact that vampires were their since we expected that. It was the arrival of a large number of hunters that came to surround the camp that's got me confused. It was almost as if the knew we'd be there." Jason stated looking at his now elongated nails.
"I don't get what your trying to tell me." The man said looking at him but avoiding his eyes. He was about to say something else when he went quiet. His face contoured into one of pain. Looking down he saw jason's had buried his fist in gut. He was thankful that it was just his fist and not his claws or he would have been dead.
"You really take me for a fool don't you?" At first you tell us that there would be no one making contact with the group for more than a month and if someone did it would be maybe one or a small group of five or less." Taking this into consideration we made a plan. I took a group of eleven including myself to the camp. When we arrived we found every single hunter dead."
"It was revealed to be the work of two vampires. One managed to kill five of our weakest men. But I took care of him. I doubt he's still alive right now. But the vampire there that was the most dangerous was apparently the princess. We fought for a while, and just when i was about to kill her they showed up. " funny thing actually. Its almost like they knew I was gonna be their. I mean why else would they bring so many people." Jason said. The force of his fist increasing with each word.
"Tell me. what exactly was our deal?" He asked, his voice cold and even.
"I give you information... In exchange you would guarantee my life." The man answered breathing hard. Every word that escaped his lips were short and heavy.
"So why the f**k were their people planning to ambush us!!" Jason yelled in anger. he used his other hand to hold the top the mans head forcing him to look at him.
"I don't know what happened I swear! Please I beg, no more, not again, not like last time!" The man cried begging. But jason did not believe a word he said.
"Tell me the truth or this time you'll end up dead." Jason demanded.
"The camp was a trap. It wasn't a training camp for new hunters. It was a place where we would set an ambush. We would get a few of our men to get captured, and when they would be interrogated for information, they give them this location along with a specific time. And if all goes well we might have taken out a few of you or vampires."
The man said holding back a cry of pain. He knew he had betrayed his comrades but the pain was too much. The main reason why he talked was the fact that Jason's fist was now replaced by a single finger with its nail piercing his body to the point blood was coming out, staining the floor red.
"There, I talked, I told you everything I know. So please no more. Let me go, I beg of you." He said hoping that it would all end.
"Thank you for the information, but unfortunately you won't be leaving here alive."Jason said his face void of emotions. Just as he was about to finish the job the man shouted something making him stop, his hand only away inches away from his chest.
"I know why that wound on your chest is taking so long to heal." The man said noticing the bandages rapped around Jason's chest. Realizing he had his attention he continued.
"When I was been trained to be a hunter I had to research the history behind werewolves, vampires and hunters." During this time I found a book titled ^Book of time.^ In it was a lot of strange things that I couldn't understand like, the alpha above alphas, supreme empress, ways to kill an immortal and how to make an immortal, mortal." "The last two was the only things that really caught my attention. Upon reading it I was shocked on what I found. It was as if it was a book made specifically about vampires and werewolves. Every page had information on you guys that we couldn't even imagine. I was even more surprised on the much easier ways to get rid of all of you. For example both vampires and werewolves have a connection with the moon. But on a no moon night they all lose their power, the ability to heal from almost anything, their strength, and the ability to shapeshift." "Unfortunately a no moon is a rear phenomenon that happens once in every hundred years so i found something else." Something that I found a bit strange. The book claimed that once a vampire or werewolf is in love with someone the become temporary mortal. Allowing them to be easily killed. Unless they claim them"
"Stop. What does this have to do with me." Jason said interrupting the man feeling he was taking to long.
"Don't you see. A no moon night won't be happening for a long time and the other ways to cause permanent damage to any of you can't be reached for now. So that only leaves on thing you're greatness, you are in love, but not with just anyone, you're in love with the one that placed the wound on your chest. You're in love with the daughter of count dracula." The man said laughing. How ironic out of everyone else in the world, you two." He continued.
"Ha!, cute story, you almost had me for a second. Maybe next time." Jason said laughing out loud.
"Laugh all you want. But you know its the truth. There's no other way to explain why your not healing." The man shot back feeling annoyed that his words are being taken as a joke.
"The reason I'm not healing as fast has nothing to do with some fairy tale. So if I were you instead of trying to convince to believe in that, I would be tying to figure out how to escape." Jason stated, his hands now once again ready to strike.
"Fairy tale it might be, but then why does your father have a copy of the book of time, he knows that everything in it will come to be, and soon the vampires amd werewolves will be no....". Before he could finish his vision began to roll. Then, his world went black. Jason had grown tired of him, before the man could say anything else he quickly removed his head from his body. Blood gushing from his now headless neck, bathing him in read.
"It was fun while it lasted, but now I grow bored of you." He remarked before walking away.
A few minutes after he had left he decided to speak to his father. He had not informed him of what happened. It took him a few minutes to find him but when he did he didn't go straight in. His father was having a conversation with his advisors and he knew that since they disliked him for some reason it would be best to wait. Normally he wouldn't care and just walk in, but he was tired and did not want to deal with their bullshit at the moment.
While outside waiting something in their conversation got his attention. And it made him uneasy.
"Are you absolutely sure?" His father asked.
"Yes, when has anything in the book of time not come to fruition." One of the advisers answered.
"But if the supreme's time has come what means that means that the alpha above alphas time has come as well." Another adviser said.
"If those blood sucking creatures hear of this they will surely lead an attack on us. And if we don't find the alpha, we will all be lost." The first said.
Hearing this jason decided to finally reveal himself and find out what was going on. He pushed open the doors and walked in getting the attention of everyone in the room.
"Leave at once you insolent child. This is a private matter that does not concern you." One of the advisers shouted at him.
"Shrivel up and die!" Jason said not even looking at him.
"Jason you're finally awake!" His father said walking up to him.
"So it seems, but that's not why I'm here father. I came to tell you that met I the princess. And she was quite interesting."
"I already know what happened jason, Anita came and told me." His father said cutting him off.
"There, now that the reason you came here has been resolved leave." An advisor said wanting him gone.
"Unfortunately father that was not the only reason I'm here. Something didn't feel right about the entire thing so I went to see our little guest. It was then he mentioned that it was all a trap, and something about the book of time. I just thought you should know." Jason said before walking away and leaving the room. His father hearing that the hunters somehow knew of the book of time turned to his advisors.
"I don't care what you do, how you do it, but get the rebels under control. If the hunters know the secrets of that book we don't have time to be fighting amongst ourselves, now we've got the hunters and vampires to worry about." He said getting ready to leave.
"What about the supreme empress and the alpha above alphas?" One of the advisers questioned.
"I will give that job to jason. I have no doubt that he would be able to handle it. Jason's dad said.
"Are you sure that is wise, to give something of such importance to him.? The same advisor asked. He did not like jason due to him not having even a little control on him.
"I don't care what you have against my son, but whatever needs to be done he will do it with no hesitation." Jason's father stated before he left the room.
