CAMADA'S POINT OF VIEW.
The snarls and grunts of the creatures increase as half a dozen of the smaller, ape-like beasts gather around us.
I am trembling, but Taki on the contrary;
-Is incredibly thrilled-
She smirks maniacally as she grips my arm tightly, and clenches the hilt of her sword even more tightly.
-A glow emitting from my body surrounds us, and though the light seems to repel some beasts, it also seems to attract others-
"You ready Cam?" She asks breathlessly.
-No, I'm not ready at all-
She surges forward with a guttural cry, her sword upraised.
She sweeps the blade in raw, jagged movements, cleaving at a beast in an imperfect arc;
-As the blade meets the creature, it's flesh sizzles and it roars painfully-
She slashes at two monsters at once, and the bursting light energy seemingly does more harm than the blade.
-Presently, I'm being dragged around, therefore as she leaps or jumps, I have to somehow follow along; when her grip breaks, I grasp onto her in bid to offer the slightest assistance-
SLASH, SLASH, SLASH.
The creatures fall deadened one by one and Taki's confident smirk widens,
-As she attacks, it appears that her energy is steadily being replenished;I on the other hand, feel heavy and weak as the onslaught continues-
"Wow, Camada, it's really working! I feel more energy pulsing within me when we make contact!" She yells as she slashes at the creatures that now come onto her at an alarming rate.
I look around weakly to see that the beasts have been cleared out, only a few still linger around.
But Taki's getting a tad bit too confident, and before I can warn her, something comes from behind and rips into her lower torso.
-She coughs out blood and drops to her knees-
The creature is about to leap onto her, when I ceize her sword and target one of it's collosal, spider-like arms.
It yelps as it's limb drops, however with a sweeping motion, it strikes at me with another arm.
I try to leap away but it's other arms come up from behind it and bind me; my glow disappears.
-I shut my eyes when it's about to have it's way with me-
SLASH;
The sound of a crackling explosion tears it right off me just like a sword movement.
I look to see Rev Netyisha approach with other Reverreds and Mages;
They sweep over the battlefield with their terrifying, efficient, well-controlled Abilities and in no time, what's left of the beasts is completely eradicated.
-So it's now the reinforcements are coming-
I jerk up to go see Taki's state;
-She's losing blood fast-
Rev Netyisha comes and crouches beside me, she takes one look at Taki and shakes her head;
"I'm no medic, but she's lost too much blood to survive... plus beast poison from the wound must have already seeped into her injury"; Rev Netyisha is calm as she mutters.
Can nothing really be done?;
Rev Netyisha motions to Rev Kesha who comes to take Taki's body away.
"Wait..." I find myself saying;
"Let me try something, somehow I was able to heal my arm earlier so..."
-My words are completely instinctive-
Rev Netyisha glances at me thoughtfully.
Rev Kesha turns to Rev Netyisha for approval, she shrugs and she turns to watch me closely;
I take a deep breath, and place my hands gently over Taki's bleeding side.
I shut my eyes, trying hard to focus, trying hard to re-create the sensation of healing I once created.
Then the doubts flood my mind;
-I've never tried to heal someone else before, I can't even heal myself by will so why did I open my mouth in the first place?-
By now, my colleagues as well as the 'reinforcements' have gathered round to watch.
-The embarrassment I'm experiencing right now is choking-
It's been a few minutes now, and nothing has happened, I open my eyes and stare at the floor.
-Of course, what was even meant to happen?-
Sneers and snickers accompany my feeling of shame.
"Well, Camada I'm sure you mean well but we can't just stay here wait-"
Rev Netyisha is interrupted as a burst of light explodes from my hands and pulses right into Taki's ripped side.
My hands instinctively clamp down on Taki's injury and I feel the light flowing from my body, channel into her.
-It's a painful and fuzzy feeling that leaves me numbed and weak, it's like something is being sucked out of me-
I hear gasps all around and I briefly glance at Rev Netyisha to see her completely fixated on what I'm doing.
The flesh and torn tissues are weaved together neatly in a paced, incredible manner.
I let out a cry just as Taki gasps awake for breath.
-Suddenly, everywhere turns pitch-dark and I slump-
CAMADA'S POV END.
RAVE'S POINT OF VIEW.
I have never seen something so spectacular,
-Did she literally just bring someone back to life?-
As expected, speculations and muses are passed round as everyone is visibly stunned by her performance.
-Now Taki sits up, looking around in sheer confusion.
Someone picks up Camada's unconscious body;
"I would like to examine her body" he mutters, Rev Netyisha shakes her head;
"No way...we Reverreds are more than equipped to check her up Mage Nox"
-Even we the students can feel the rising tension-
"But we Mages and Reverreds are doing things together now aren't we?" Mage Nox questions with a hint of annoyance.
Rev Netyisha sighs heavily;
"Yes we are, but we can never forget our roots now can we?" She locks eyes dangerously with Mage Nox;
-None of them is poised to back down, all this upheaval has been caused by Camada-
"I'm in charge of Medical Research for this set of students... don't you think I have enough authority to personally take over this case?-I mean... even the Most Reverred Hostess would agree"
Rev Netyisha isn't hearing it, she's about to speak when Rev Waer holds her back;
"Yes, yes we understand... please carry on" she intercedes.
Rev Netyisha is boiling but somehow Rev Waer manages to drag her away.
Personally I feel like Rev Netyisha should have been the one to oversee Camada's condition, because the way Mage Nox is staring at her unconscious body is... worrying.
"And that, students...marks lesson 1" Mage Grant's voice cuts into the ensuing silence.
He smiles good-naturedly;
"The beasts you just faced off are Destroyer beasts...and low brass compared to REAL beasts"
-Real beasts? So things get worse?-
RAVE'S POINT OF VIEW END.
NETYISHA'S POINT OF VIEW.
"But just tell me why I have to be contrived to tolerate nonsense from the Mages!" I yell, as Waer frantically tries to quieten me.
We are walking back to the Reverred Towers, and right behind a bunch of Mages who escorted to rescue the students; I'm doing barely minimum to acknowledge their presence;
"Oh curses, in Lady Senaya's name you have a horrible temper Netyisha...Most Rev Yulia wouldn't even want us to fall into problems with the Mages" she whispers.
I groan;
"That Nox, that creep...I heard he creates dolls or something out of bits of dead animals...does that guy sound accountable enough to-" "-dolls?, they aren't just dolls for my fancy, they are actually puppets that I manipulate..."
I am startled as he comes up from behind me.
He is still wearing that obnoxious grin that makes me utterly uneasy.
-Everything about this dude is revolting; his glazed eyes that have been accessorized with sleep deprivation circles, his skeletal nose and chapped lips and the fact that his hair wears a similar hue as mine-
I am quiet for the rest of the journey, but I am determined to pay utmost attention to how this creature plans on tending to my student.
"I know you'd like to be observant of your student, so I invite you to join me at the Health Centre" he mumbles, his eyes fixed on my face;
I smirk; "You'd best know, that I'll hold your word for it"
-Oh profanities!, can he look away already?; I've never been so intensely stared at by someone of the opposite gender before-
I turn to glare at him, and he chuckles as he walks faster to join up with other Mages, with Camada securely humped on his back.
Waer snickers.
"What's so amusing?" I ask in puzzlement.
She yawns and grins;
"Something tells me that Mage Nox has taken a certain liking to you"
The mere thought alone is enough to make me gag; "Very funny Rev Waer, very funny"
NETYISHA'S POINT OF VIEW END.
THE HOODED ONE'S POINT OF VIEW.
"Even if you didn't ask Hooded Boor... I'll tell you why my fourth marriage failed"
All this while, Mau has been yapping and of course, I haven't listening, until now.
"Fine...tell me" I blurt,
She grins widely and leans in closer towards my reading table;
"It's simple, I haven't yet gotten over you"
I groan;
-To think I actually imagined she was going to tell me something I haven't heard before-
"Sorry about that" I say half-heartedly.
"Sorry that you can't fall in love with someone or sorry that I-" "To be frank, I never would have fallen in love with you even if I could" I gently interrupt.
THE HOODED ONE'S POINT OF VIEW END.
