Whitney couldn't sleep that night. She kept pondering on what Karris said to her. Why couldn't he just let her be? She thought.
She didn't regret this agreement because her dad was with her now. She would persevere no matter how long this sham marriage would take, if ever she gets her freedom, she would know which course to take, because afterall there was no one she loved. If Karris thought she was the only one whose life was going to be miserable, then he was wrong. She would make sure he also wouldn't get his peace of mind.
Mr. Grande called Karris to his mansion. He had a talk with his son. He told him to be visiting his future wife very often to make the media know there was something going on between them, so that their marriage wouldn't come as a surprise to the press. Karris didn't want to, but if he wanted to make Whitney's life miserable, then he had to make a lot of sacrifices. They discussed about the wedding or let's say Mr. Grande told him the plans for their wedding. He wasn't a bit interested in how the wedding was going to be as long as he gets Whitney in his house legally to torment her. He swore he was going to make her life a living nightmare.
On the day of Whitney's discharge, Karris went to pick her up and drove her to her house, of course not in peace. They couldn't be in the same space and peace would reign, never. When they reached the living area , Mr. Grande, Mr and Mrs Risavette were already seated, discussing the plans for the wedding. Both the future bride and groom seemed least concerned about their own wedding. They were thinking about how to make each other's life miserable. The wedding was scheduled in a festive season, which was two weeks from now. After coming to terms with the arrangement both parties went their separate ways.
The media,citizens and aliens who knew about both families were swept off their feet when the news of marriage between the most wanted bachelor and the unknown but most wanted bachelarrete in the entire Velmoria was made public. It became the hottest and most searched news. Females and males who had lined up waiting and fantazing about their chances with the respective couple were so devastated. Every place in Velmoria that people gathered at, they talked of this news. Although they were devastated they could do nothing but wish them well.
Now everyone wanted to know what the over - pampered, over - protected princess of the Risavette empire looked like. Apart from waiting for the festive season, people were looking forward to the wedding between the heir and the heiress of the most prestigious families in Velmoria. Whitney didn't like the attention this occasion was drawing to her. She wouldn't be able to go out without a disguise now. The entire Velmoria will know who she is and what she looks like. She hated that she wouldn't be able to get her privacy again. Couldn't they have organised a secret wedding in the civil Bureau or on some private island without a lot of people ? Well, who was she kidding ? How can the only heir and heiress of the two most prestigious families have a small and private wedding? Even if it was a sham marriage it had to be a very grand and august occasion.
It had to be the talk of the country for months unending.
The best and most expensive wedding planner was taxed to plan the event. The best fashion designer was to design their customes. Everything was from the best of the best , from the biggest to the most minute detail of the event.
Whitney and Karris' days were filled with several things concerning the event ; wine tasting, cake tasting,checking of decorations, costume fitting, invitations and several important details of the wedding.
They went to their respective houses every night very exhausted. Their respective fathers took over the company for the meantime until after the wedding.
