Elaine's POV

.

My name is Elaine Boris Fairychild of the ducal house of Fairychild. A noble house of Arrendelle known for its tremendous wealth and wind mastery.

Unlike other noble houses of Arrendelle, Fairychild has a special standing. They carry the bloodline of Fairies. A race of higher hierarchical order than humans.

Carrying such a noble bloodline gave Fairychild descendants better average talent than humans and a special position in the human kingdom that not even the king can take lightly.

Just being born in this house has made me even more important than some of the lesser-valued princes and princesses of the Kingdom.

And so even if I haven't awakened my bloodline and raised my inborn talent I shouldn't have been given such a low task.

I, a proud daughter of house Fairychild, carrying the noble blood of Fairies is tasked to befriend a commoner and even seduce him if possible.

It makes me want to puke and scream especially how frustrating it is to talk with him. Not only he's busy all the time studying but he's also smart enough to see through the motives of all nobles approaching him.

Aghh!

Even I find myself troubled talking with him and I am trained to manipulate conversations in my favour even before I turned 5.

I even complained about this problem to my mother and although she laughed at me she at least told me how to approach him. Her advice was sound as expected from a proud daughter of the Fairychild family.

She told me to approach him when no one else does and start a conversation about something he likes or does usually.

I took her advice and at first, I tried to approach him in the library and strike up a conversation about the book he was reading but that plan flopped quickly. He reads books that too out of the syllabus and I have no idea what knowledge they pertain.

Asking about those books only annoys him as he has no interest in wasting time teaching someone.

So… when I heard some of the seniors talking about seeing him entering the Arrendite forest late at night I started waiting in the corridor of the dorm building to catch him sneaking in. There are late-night curfews for students who have not achieved Tier-1. I can use that to my advantage.

If I "stumbled" upon him while he was sneaking in past the curfew time he would have to approach me himself so I wouldn't reveal this to the Instructor or the discipline committee.

I know with his talent he won't punished severely for breaking the curfew but the discipline committee will definitely place a tracking device on him to prevent him from entering the forest past curfew time ever again.

And I'm sure he wouldn't want that to happen.

So every day I waited in the corridors that connected his section of the dorm to catch him but as the days went by without even getting a glimpse of him. I started giving up thinking he have some kind of stealth artefact or he found some secret corridors directly leading to his door.

Maybe he doesn't venture into the forest past the curfew or the rumours itself was utter bogus.

That thought process was logical since no senior has ever seen him past the curfew or else he would've already been punished. They only caught some glimpses and they weren't sure.

"Agh! Let's forget it and sleep! Staying awake so late for these past few months has already started affecting my performance. I can't disrupt my progress since I have to squeeze out every bit of my potential before the Bloodline Awakening Ceremony. And it is drawing very near."

Shaking my I started walking towards my dorm room but the sudden sound of frantic footsteps stopped me.

Turning back I saw the maid of that low-born running towards the exit… covered in blood.

Instantly my eyes narrowed and I called out.

The maid stopped and looked at me. Her eyes frantic with worry.

I opened my mouth to question but the words got caught when the maid approached me and dragged me by wrist.

I wanted to stop her but looking at the direction she was dragging me I did not.

Not long she dragged me into her master's room and my eyes landed on him lying on the sofa with his guts almost spilling out.

I stopped the gagging that came reflexively at the sight and quickly analysed the situation. Good thing my training came to use in calming me down.

This idiot has gotten injured by a primeval beast and the maid was probably going to the infirmary to get help but changed her mind when she saw me.

She probably doesn't her master to get in trouble for breaking the curfew and dozens more Academy rules.

Shaking my head I brought out the healing portion from my storage ring and asked the maid to give it to her master but she denied it and told me something that made me freeze.

Only when the idiot groaned painfully did I come back to reality. I quickly brought out a Tier-3 alchemical pill that can remove spiritual aura and can heal.

It was a precious pill that I doubt even Prince and Princesses carry with them normally.

A Tier-3 pill that can only heal wounds given by Tier-2 Primeval beast. A waste of Tier-3 resources but this pill's healing energy is very soothing and gentle and can be used by people who haven't entered Tier-1.

A non-cultivator body is not strong enough to handle the spiritual essence contained in any Tier pill, only pills specially made for them can be ingested.

Although a waste of resources. Powerful families have them for emergencies and some families give it to their valued members like mine.

Anyway, I don't care about the value of the pill but I'm sure this guy will feel more gratitude after knowing how expensive the pill is.

After giving it to the maid and seeing her feeding him the medicine I quickly left and returned to my room with a light heart. With this, my task was half completed.

While returning to my room, I can't help but reevaluate him again. That wound was gruesome and no normal human can survive not to mention that residual spiritual aura that only Tier-2 Primeval beast can use.

His talent is greater than measured previously. Does he have an unawakened physique? It is possible because he's hundred percent human with no bloodline. At least according to the reports I got from my family.

I should inform this incident to my family.
