Chapter 13 - encounter first dungeon

Morning light broke through the trees. I rose with determination.

"I have leveled as much as I can in the jungle. It's time we challenge a dungeon."

Sanot nodded smoothly. "Yes. You've worked hard. Today, the Hero Party ventures into a low-level dungeon."

We bought potions, checked our equipment, and stepped into the shadowed halls.

Narrate's voice whispered to us.

"There are two paths. Choose wisely.

- First option: fight the boss's minions to reach him.

- Second option: solve riddles to challenge the boss."

My companions chose the first path. Sanot, ever the scholar, chose the second.

On the combat path, wolves lunged. I cut them down with a single slash. More came, snarling, but fell beneath my blade.

On the riddle path, a guardian appeared.

"Answer my riddles. First: what object cannot be pinched?"

Sanot answered swiftly. "Water."

The guardian nodded. "Second: when immersed dark matter is thrown into holy power, what happens?"

Sanot smirked. "Dark matter remains. Its quality is greater than holy power."

The guardian bowed. "You are the first to answer both in one go." The door opened.

Sanot thought to himself, Hero is just a class… nothing more.

We reunited, slaying fake goblins, and finally faced the dungeon boss: a little ogre.

The battle was fierce. The ogre stunned us with Zinc Stun, but Sanot's elemental debuff weakened it. I struck with Holy Slash, again and again. For five minutes, we fought.

Then, betrayal. Sanot cast Immersed Dark Matter—on me.

I dodged, luck twisting fate. My blade struck the ogre's final 50 HP, ending the battle.

Sanot muttered, "Sorry, Hero… I missed my chance."

Narrate explained, "Sanot has tried several times to kill you. But your Last Minute Luck skill always saves you."

The dungeon rewarded us:

- Sanot gained the Novice Scholar Book (lower MP consumption).

- Bange gained the Oged Knife (increases bleeding effect).

- Alovent gained the Chesalnot Plate (boosts durability).

- Clever gained the Ozenda Helmet (reduces damage).

- I gained the Swordsman Sword (increases damage) and a new skill: Holy Shield.

Twenty-three days passed since our journey began. My companions reached normal level. I honed my footwork, sharpened my sword techniques.

Narrate whispered, "Remember—your Last Minute Luck is passive, always active. Your Lucky Looter is half-passive, unseen by others. This is your hidden edge."

Thus, Dransart grows stronger, his companions gaining power beside him, yet betrayal lingers. The Hero's path is carved not only by skill—but by catastrophe's luck.
