There are many varieties of jadeite. In the lower-grade jadeite, besides Hibiscus Kind, dry green species, and oily green species, there is also a golden silk type.
The golden silk type jadeite has vivid and bright green, making one feel as if it contains golden light, arranged intermittently in strands, and is quite revered due to its good transparency.
The golden silk type jadeite does not actually contain gold threads; it's due to the refraction of light.
However, when Huo Sining was in Mindong, at Zhong Zifan's jadeite shop, she indeed discovered a piece of gold-threaded jadeite. That piece wasn't of the golden silk type but slightly superior to ice seed jadeite, though it hadn't reached the level of high ice type jadeite.
The color and transparency of that gold-threaded jadeite were decent; it was called gold-threaded jadeite because the emerald green on the four-edged jade entwined with tiny sparkles.
