Xiao Xuyang knew in his heart, but he didn't know how to persuade or comfort her. He wanted to give Lu Xinyi enough security, to let Lu Xinyi let go of the aversion she held towards their social circle.
But he had said so much, and also told Lu Xinyi that his parents were different from the other parents in the circle. Yet, Lu Xinyi refused to believe it, taking his words as just sweet talk to deceive her.
"Lu Xinyi, rest assured, my parents won't make you uncomfortable; they will only be happy, really." Xiao Xuyang's words were old-fashioned, but Lu Xinyi still refused, shaking her head in rejection.
Xiao Xuyang knew no matter how much he said, it would be to no avail, so he thought to bring her back home directly, to let her see his parents with her own eyes. He was certain that once Lu Xinyi met his parents, all of her previous worries and aversions would cease to exist.
