Chapter 2 - The Union

A battalion of soldiers marched into a mystical dungeon, a realm renowned for housing ancient relics and fearsome monsters.

These creatures, bound to the dungeon's domain, ensured that adventurers who dared to enter would never escape.

As the soldiers prepared to depart, Emperor Valtor appeared, urging them to prioritize their camaraderie and safety above all else.

With his words of encouragement still echoing, the scene transitioned to the underground civilization.

There, three men stood before Master Kieran, who saluted them with a mixture of respect and urgency.

"Find Maricel," he instructed, his voice laced with gravity. "Only he can assist us." With a swift motion, Kieran handed the middle man a map detailing Maricel's location, wishing them luck as they embarked on their perilous quest.

Meanwhile, the Aruza soldiers ventured deeper into the dungeon, navigating a vast, ruined expanse littered with shattered statues and remnants of a long-forgotten clash of powers.

The eerie atmosphere served as a stark reminder of the terrifying creatures lurking within.

As the soldiers huddled together, surveying their surroundings, a faint shadow swept past them, prompting the group to halt and prepare for battle.

The air was heavy with tension as skeletal remains on the ground began to stir, merging to form seven wolf-like creatures crafted from bones.

One soldier instinctively drew his sword, adorned with ancient inscriptions. As the words on the blade turned green, the soldiers realized that the monsters were classified as C-ranked.

With this knowledge, the soldiers readied themselves for combat, but the wolf-like creatures vanished into thin air.

The sudden, agonizing cries of fallen comrades echoed through the dungeon, and the surviving soldiers hastily split into smaller groups, desperate to survive the treacherous landscape.

A wolf-like creature, its eyes blazing with ferocity, chased after a group of seven soldiers. Initially, the soldiers turned to flee, but quickly regrouped to confront the monster.

One soldier, with a burst of adrenaline, leaped onto the wolf's back, pinning it down.

Seizing the opportunity, two other soldiers struck the final blow, slicing off the wolf's head with swift, precise movements.

The creature's body dissolved into nothingness, vanishing from sight.

The captain of the Dungeon soldiers, part of the group that had just slain the monster, rallied his troops.

"We must find the others," he urged, his voice firm and resolute. "Together, we will destroy all that lurks within this dungeon."

The captain's determination was fueled by a sense of duty and loyalty to the new Emperor, Valtor.

The Emperor's first task, entrusted to the captain, held great significance, and failure was not an option.

The captain was resolute in his commitment to succeed, driven by a deep sense of responsibility and honor.

The three men sent by Master Kieran, Vax, Farald, and Barum, finally reached the summit of a towering mountain.

As they took in their surroundings, Barum spoke up, "Vax, Farald, according to Master Kieran, this is where we'll find Maricel.

But we must be cautious; he's a dangerous individual to approach carelessly."

Farald countered Barum's warning, "No matter the danger, we have to try.

We can't turn back now." As the two men discussed the risks, Vax wandered further into the flat plain atop the oddly shaped mountain.

Vax's attention was drawn to a cluster of rocks, which, to his astonishment, formed the letter "M."

To confirm he wasn't seeing things, he called out to Farald and Barum, who joined him to witness the peculiar formation.

Farald, sensing that the rocks might be more than just a natural occurrence, attempted to open a hidden gate.

Before them, a semi-viable door materialized, seemingly integrated into the mountain's outer structure.

As night began to fall, the men set up camp on the mountain summit.

The starry sky and the biting mountain breeze made for a chilly night.

As Farald and Barum discussed the improbability of opening the door, Vax persisted in his efforts.

In a moment of determination, Vax injured himself with a stone, and as his blood touched the "M" formation, it began to shine.

Vax called out to his companions, and as they approached, they discovered that a passageway had been revealed, leading into the heart of the mountain.

.....

Within the castle walls, Emperor Valtor protected by two vigilant knights, was met by his trusted adviser, Dagros.

A fair man clothed in a noble apparel, his fair coffee-brown hair slightly covered his brown eyes.

With a nod, Valtor dismissed the knights, ensuring a private audience with his counsel.

As they stepped into a secluded chamber, Dagros began, "Your Imperial Majesty, I implore you to pursue what your late father, Emperor Vorat, could not accomplish."

Valtor's curiosity was piqued, and he requested Dagros to elaborate on the matter.

Dagros's expression turned solemn as he revealed, "Your father had yet to make a decision regarding the Aruza Empire's potential membership in 'The Union.'

The weight of this unfinished business hung in the air, as Valtor's gaze narrowed, contemplating the implications of this crucial decision.

...

As Vax, Barum, and Farald ventured into the passage, they walked for what felt like an eternity, the darkness eventually giving way to a warm, golden light.

As Vax stepped into the light, a defensive spell sprang to life, encasing them in a protective barrier that halted their progress.

Undeterred, Vax placed his hand on the barrier, and a brilliant blue aura emanated from his body, dispelling the magical obstruction.

The trio proceeded, entering a vast, cavernous space that defied logic – its sheer scale seemed impossible, given their location at the mountain's summit.

Suddenly, a figure materialized before them. He was a fair-skinned man with piercing yellow eyes and snow-white hair, partially concealed by a stylish blue top hat that perfectly complemented his tailored blue suit and trousers.

The man's gaze swept across the three visitors, and he addressed them by name, inquiring why they had arrived so late.

Before they could respond, he extended his right hand, clad in a white glove, and summoned a long, black cane adorned with intricate red designs.

A mischievous smile spread across his face, revealing his razor-sharp vampire fangs.

"Gentlemen," he said, his voice low and mysterious, "we have little time to waste. Something must be done to preserve this earth."
