Three days.
That's how long the battle dragged. Three days of shadows pouring in and bleeding out, of Moria bloating larger and uglier. Three days of Father trading blows with Moria, his Kanabo peeling shadows off Moria's flesh with every strike. Three days of the Beast Pirates cheering, screaming, and burying their dead.
Kaido's laughter rang out as he swung his kanabo, sparks of black red lightning flashing with each hit.
"Worororororooo! This is more like it, Moria!"
As Kaido's Kanabo clashes with Moria's Sword the sky above Wano darkened almost splitting in two, from the sheer pressure of the two monsters clashing.
Moria's teeth gnashed, his shadow-enlarged body heaving with each breath.
Moria was on his knees. His Mind flickered, as the overwhelming mass of stolen shadows started slipping away as if rejecting him. But his rage barely kept him going.
Another clash... and Moria's massive forearm caved in at a bad angle.
He screamed, reeled and His eyes were red around the edges, The Gecko pirates were dying he had to-
Kaido didn't give Moria the chance to finish that thought. With a bellow that made the mountains shake, he transformed again, scales shimmering as his Hybrid Form was Unleashed and with a Jump rose into the sky to gain momentum.
"Let's see how you take this. Wororororooo!!"
Kaido's muscles swelled and his face twisted into a savage grin.
The air warped as Kaido moved. One instant he was a towering in the sky above and in the next he was gone.
As he landed again the ground beneath cracked in spiderwebs, unable to bear the pressure of the technique yet to be unleashed.
Lightning coiled around his kanabo, the air trembled with an ominous hum as arcs of Multicolored Electricity pulsed into existence, growing brighter, denser, as though the heavens themselves recoiled because of its creation.
Violent lightning condensed in his grip almost vanishing completely as he rocked his Kanabo backwards preparing for a Swing.
Then came the strike
"Destroyer of Death…"
As Moria felt an imminent feeling of impending doom He warped himself desperately with his shadow barely Reacting as Kaido appeared right before his gigantic head.
"THUNDER BAGUA!!!"
Kaido's mace carved a path through the Air causing the Clouds to churn violently as the energy discharged, retreating from the epicenter of the Impact collapsing inward before exploding outward Splitting the Sky apart.
The collision was instantaneous as the entire battlefield was drowned out in violet brilliance. The impact birthed a deafening sound never heard before in both of Yamato's lives.
The kanabo's Spikes scraped the upper skull, the head of it caught the jaw.
The moment it connected, Morias entire lower jaw was ripped out and shattered into dust. Teeth became red gravel. Flesh tore loose like wet paper. Moria's lower face vanished into Nonexistence.
The blood dripped from where his jaw used to be, muscles flesh and bones were exposed to the outside world as he struggled to form worlds coming out his windpipe.
He keeled over puking up all of his shadows from the extreme pain he was enduring.
Dozens at first. Then hundreds. They tore themselves free of his body in a frantic escape, fleeing into the air.
The more he screamed in gurgling agony, the more they poured out, until his titanic frame shrank faster and faster, collapsing back into the Form his body has before the fight.
Moria choked, wheezed, tried to form words but all that escaped his windpipe were wet gasps and blood.
Kaido walked, unhurried. Each step sounding like a drum.
"Worororo… are we finished?"
Tears streaked down his pale face. Anguish, horror, disbelief.
He had been beaten.
His crew slaughtered.
His country stolen before his eyes.
Everything he had ever achieved, everything he had ever fought for - Gone.
Yet even as despair consumed him, something else sparked inside: a flame of pure Eternal, unyielding hatred. A promise that he would never forgive Kaido.
But hatred could not shield him from death.
Moria's fingers stabbed the ground. His shadow dove into the earth.
So, Gecko Moria did the unthinkable. He crawled backward like a rat, snot-nosed, bleeding, trembling and begged.
He begged Kaido to spare him, slobbering through his mangled throat.
Kaido sneered, disgust and amusement warring on his Face as His grip tightened on his weapon. But Before he could take a swing Moria Vanished.
Kaido stopped. He let the kanabo rest on his shoulder and glared at the Spot Moria used to be at like it had insulted him.
"Run, then, Coward." he said, his Face full of disgust.
[AN: I completely forgot that this fight was supposed to last for 3 days not uhm an hour so lets just say between this and the last chapter 2 and a half days passed... Yamato just uhh patiently watched the whole time... Yeah smart me added 2 passages at the start of the chapter...]
