After that we came back to forest but this time we are in deep inside the forest. Around us was the body of the people I defeated.

I turned to Demiurge, who was kneeling beside one of the corpses, adjusting his glasses with a thoughtful expression. Solution mirrored his posture, kneeling obediently beside him.

"Demiurge, these corpses should be enough for your experiments, right?" I asked.

Demiurge stood, a small smirk playing at the corners of his lips. "For now, they will suffice, my lord. However, for proper long-term research, I require live subjects as well. Additionally, since you have yet to establish a permanent portal to Nazarick, I would greatly appreciate a secure location to conduct my work." His sharp, calculating gaze turned toward the direction of the village we had saved earlier. "If you wish, I could transform that settlement into our base of operations. It is conveniently located and already populated."

I shook my head. "That won't be necessary, Demiurge. I have a different location in mind. This very place will become our research facility and main base in this world."

Demiurge's smirk widened slightly, and he bowed. "Your wisdom knows no bounds, my lord."

Reaching into my inventory, I pulled out an artifact—a small, dark crystal pulsing with arcane energy. It wasn't grand in appearance, but its power was undeniable. Holding it in my palm, I placed it gently onto the ground and activated it.

"{Underground Fortress.}"

The crystal pulsed once, then suddenly shattered. A deep rumbling filled the air as the very ground beneath us shook. The earth cracked and parted, revealing a massive descending staircase leading into darkness. A hidden entrance.

The transformation took mere moments. Trees surrounding the area subtly shifted, forming a natural cover to conceal the entrance from prying eyes. If one wasn't looking closely, they would never notice it.

I took the first step forward, followed closely by Demiurge and Solution.

Upon descending, we were greeted by the vast interior of the Underground Fortress.

It wasn't as grand as Nazarick, but it was large enough for what we needed. The underground complex had three floors.

The entire fortress was naturally cold and damp, but that could easily be remedied. With some modifications, it would soon serve as a proper outpost for Nazarick's forces.

And on the last floor, I opened the permanent portal to Nazarick.

Demiurge and Solution took a moment to survey their surroundings.

Demiurge adjusted his glasses, his tail flicking slightly behind him. "Magnificent. This will do perfectly, my lord. The secrecy of this location ensures that no one will interfere with my research."

Solution, meanwhile, ran a gloved hand along the stone wall, a pleased smile on her face. "This place has such a delightful atmosphere. Cold, silent, hidden from the world. It suits us so well."

I nodded in satisfaction. "Good. This will be our foothold in this world. You'll begin fortifying it immediately, Demiurge. I expect defenses set up as soon as possible."

"Of course, my lord," he responded immediately, already thinking about what improvements he could make.

Solution tilted her head toward me. "And what of you, my lord? What shall you do next?"

I grinned. "Solution and I are heading to E-Rantel. We're going to register as adventurers."

Demiurge raised a curious brow. "Adventurers, my lord?"

I smirked. "What better way to gather information on this world than by traveling openly? Besides, taking down monsters and gaining access to quests will give us valuable insight into the people and their strengths. I also want to test my Elemental Breathing techniques further."

Demiurge chuckled. "A fascinating approach, my lord. I have no doubt you will quickly ascend the ranks of their little adventuring system."

"As you wish, My Lord." Solution said.

I chuckled. "We'll see soon enough."

Before I could leave, however, I turned to Demiurge, my tone growing more serious.

"One last thing, Demiurge."

He immediately straightened, giving me his full attention. "Yes, my lord?"

"You may only kidnap criminals for your research—those who have committed the worst crimes. Murderers, slavers, war criminals… those kinds of scum. No innocent people. And absolutely no children are to be harmed. Do I make myself clear?"

For a brief second, Demiurge seemed surprised by my words, but his expression quickly returned to normal. He nodded deeply, placing a hand over his chest.

"As you command, my lord. Only those who are beyond redemption shall be used. I will ensure no unnecessary harm is done to the innocent."

"Good." I turned away. "Then I'll leave this place in your hands. Strengthen it, fortify it, and prepare for what's to come."

Demiurge bowed low. "It shall be done."

With that, I turned to Solution, a smirk forming. "Come on, let's go become adventurers."

She giggled, following closely behind as we made our way out of the hidden fortress and back toward the world above.
