The Lord of Shadow clearly heard the terrifying sound of biting. If he had launched his attack from that spot, not only would the arm he used for the attack have been bitten off, but he would also have narrowly escaped losing half of his body.
Even though he fled swiftly, he still couldn't entirely evade the opponent's counterattack. Both the Shadow Dagger and the armguard were emitting black smoke.
They were coated with a thick layer of black ichor, possessing a terrifying corrosive property, attempting to corrode them, along with a portion of his exposed skin which was also being corroded.
The Lord of Shadow had no choice but to use another dagger to scrape off the ichor along with a layer of flesh from the wounded area to halt the corrosion.
Fortunately, both the Shadow Dagger and the armor were Divine Artifacts rather than mortal objects, or they would have been corroded and destroyed by the black ichor.
