Humungousaur stood at his full height, his massive, reptilian frame casting a long shadow. Across from him, Homunculus stood looking back.
Yuriko didn't wait for a formal introduction. She leveled Jackal and squeezed the trigger. The chamber roared. The heavy-caliber round whistled through the air and slammed into the creature's left bicep. The impact was violent and the arm exploded in a spray of grey matter.
Her eyes were trained on him.
Within seconds, the grey fluid began to boil and churn. Homunculus massive, ropey veins erupted from the stump and weaved together. His arm was back together.
"What?!" Yuriko questioned.
At that moment, Saya stepped forward. Her Ray Gun hummed with a high-pitched whine. She tapped the trigger rapidly and sent a volley of concentrated red energy waves across the room. The thermal beams slammed into Homunculus's chest and shoulders. There were large, smoking chunks of its torso which were incinerated. One beam took out a significant portion of its neck and moved his head back. Yet, the creature didn't even flinch. The charred edges of the wounds began to flake away and were replaced by fresh and raw tissue. The craters filled in and the neck straightened.
"He has regeneration," Saya remarked as she looked back at his body.
Homunculus charged at Saya. His feet were cracking the floor.
Humungousaur moved forward and barged into Homunculus who was sent flying back.
"Turn Dead," Nell said as she raised her hand. A white glow appeared on her hand. The Homunculus started to glow slightly. However it moved forward towards Humungousaur.
"It did nothing," Nell said.
"We might need a more powerful version of it," Humungousaur said as he crossed his arms and blocked Homunculus' punch.Humungousaur went skidding back. The floor was destroyed by the skid marks. "That was a strong punch," he said.
"I can do something better," Nell said as she closed her eyes. Her body started to glow.
"Flying Icicle," Akitsu said as she created an icicle and threw it at Homunculus. The shard hit him in the face and pierced his face.
"Water Blade," said Tsukiumi as she created water around her palm and formed a blade of water. She cut his throat.
Homunculus swung his fist towards Tsukiumi. She jumped out of the way and narrowly avoided the attack. "He is fast," she remarked. Homunculus quickly followed with another punch. His fist was driving towards Tsukiumi once again.
Humungousaur quickly moved and caught his fist. He grabbed Homunculus' arm and threw him forward. Homunculus went flying across the room and crashed into the wall. He got up immediately.
"He is a tough one," Yuriko remarked.
"Are you okay?" Humungousaur asked as he looked at Tsukiumi.
"I am, he did not hit me," Tsukiumi responded.
"Salvation Turn Undead," Nell said as her body glowed fully white. She opened her eyes and swung her sword and sent a circular light beam at the monster. The light beam hit Homunculus and went flying back. He crashed into the wall. A large pile of debris landed on him.
"Did it work?" Shizuka asked as she looked at the monster.
Homunculus punched the debris away and got up. He looked down at everyone.
"It did not," Nell responded as she looked in shock.
"No, look at his arm," Saya pointed to. His arm had a piece which was missing.
"It was not strong enough," Humungousaur remarked.
"Akitsu I have an idea, can you freeze him to sub zero, then we will cut him into pieces and take him to different places so he can't regrow," Humungousaur said.
"If we freeze and cut him, he should die," Carlotta said.
"It could work," Saya said as she touched her chin. "Tsukiumi, create water around him, so it will be easier to freeze," she added.
Tsukiumi nodded. "I was going to do it," she remarked.
"Akistu can you do?" Humungousaur asked.
"I can," Akitsu firmly responded. She was not going to fail her Ashikabi, her love.
"Water Pillar," said Tsukiumi as she created a vertical column of water underneath Homunculus.
At that moment Akitsu rose into the air, her body was surrounded by a halo of frost. Time seems to slow as the temperature plummets. "Absolute Zero Judgment," Akitsu said as she created a massive sphere of ice above her. She releases it and froze everything in its path.
The massive water pillar turned into a solid tower of ice. It trapped the Homunculus in a translucent tomb. Its limbs were locked in place like a macabre statue.
"Did we get him?" Shizuka asked as Caprtie hovered close by.
Carlotta didn't hesitate. She surged across the throne room. She slashed vertically, a heavy downward stroke that split the frost. She then whipped the blade horizontally and sheared through the core. After that, she carved through the air diagonally with such immense speed that the friction hummed against the ice.
The entire pillar and the Homunculus entombed within, shattered into a violent spray of crystalline shards. The creature dismantled and reduced to hundreds of perfectly uniform, frozen blocks of grey flesh. The pieces clattered across the marble floor. "Bury them far apart," Carlotta ordered the soldiers around her.
The soldiers rushed forward and grabbed the various ice cubes and started to take them away.
"That was amazing," Nell said.
"Thank you Ice and Water Mage," Carlotta said as she smiled.
"It was nothing," Tsukiumi responded.
Akitsu nodded and looked at James.
At that moment, the Ultimatrix symbol flashed red. There was a bright red glow and Humungousaur transformed back into James.
"Is he dead?" Saya asked.
"He should be but if he is back then we will just beat him," James responded.
Shizuka was the first to move and hopped off Carptie mid-air and threw herself at James. "James," Shizuka said as she wrapped her arms tightly around his neck and buried her face against him.
James hugged her back. He wrapped his arms around her. He could feel her large breasts on him.
"Pervert, Saya remarked.
Yuriko let out a soft, melodic giggle. "You don't want to get left behind," she remarked.
Tsukiumi clenched her fist. "Get off him," she said as she blushed.
"Your followers are interesting," Carlotta said.
"They are?" Nell asked as she tried to defend them,
"But they are good," Carlotta responded.
