Xiangxiang's soft little body cuddled into his arms, Little Nuomi's head resting on his shoulder, letting out a delicate yawn.
Mu Jingxi placed a hand on her back, patting gently, his usual cold and deep voice softened by waking his dear daughter, tender enough to almost drown someone, "Little Nuomi, tell Daddy what's wrong, hmm?"
Little Nuomi lifted her watery eyes, her rosy little mouth pouting, in a soft, cute baby voice, "Mama asked Little Nuomi to remember to wake her up."
Mu Jingxi paused, then realized why. He carried Little Nuomi out of the hospital room, "Your mama is sick and needs rest. Let's not disturb her, okay?"
"But, Mama said..." Little Nuomi whined, turning her head to look at Qiao An behind them.
On the bed, Qiao An was still fast asleep.
