Ali stared at the pregnancy test in her hand, feeling a bit stunned.
She never thought something like this would happen.
She had slept with Yao Beikun many times, sometimes it was totally spontaneous. She couldn't guarantee that she remembered to take the morning-after pill each time, so could that occasional miss result in this?!
"Done?" The nurse urged from the door.
Ali took a deep breath, threw the pregnancy test into the trash can, and opened the restroom door.
"How is it?" The nurse seemed anxious.
"It's two lines."
"So you're pregnant?!" The nurse replied quickly.
Ali nodded.
She couldn't quite identify her feelings, a mix of emotions.
"Notify your boyfriend quickly," the nurse urged, "I'll take you to sit in the corridor, then I'll ask the doctor whether this drip can be given to pregnant women."
Ali watched the nurse rushing around.
Is being pregnant a big deal?!
She sat in the hallway, feeling somewhat numb.
