I had to tackle this now. I held his hand, praying he will turn and he did .
I hugged him tight. "I don't want to lose you, please am sorry. Just stop ignoring me , that's all I ask for" . I broke down.
He struggled to pull away, noticing this, I let go reluctantly.

"For what huh, you did nothing wrong, it was all me" There was this guilt in his eyes as he spoke .
"I have to leave" he said eventually.
My pleading fell on deaf ears. He finally turned to me, " You did not offend me Tricia . I just need space away from …. you".
I held his hand to stop him .
"I don't understand huh". He yanked his hand away but then I hugged him again. His breath suddenly became unsteady, I held him tighter. The next morning , I woke late, very late coz I met the others preparing to leave for the the swimming session. Montez told me where the food was and the destination before they left. I grudgingly went to take my food after which I went to bath . After dressing up, my swimsuit in hand , even though I had no idea how to swim, prepared to leave. " Wasn't he going?

His fingers were brushing his hair as he closed his eyes drowsily. " No" .
"Oh" ...…I….., I just left . Why did it seem so awkward . I hardly closed my eyes last night and here he was resting. I rolled my eyes and packed my things yet he never realized I left. That broke me , turning back , I looked at him yet it felt like I never knew him.
